And with the 13th pick in the 2013 NHL draft the Buffalo Sabres select.........
- sbroads24

Domi probably (small but he's awesome) or Zadorov if he falls to 13th. I think even if we finish 9th or 10th we will probably be drafting top 10. The teams on the bubble in the west have better records than the Sabres I think (or will finish with better records).

I dont want to drag the debate out, but booing is sometimes better than the awkward silence.

Besides your corvette analogy is good as well. If im going to buy tickets, outside of not swearing in front of children and harming people, I should be able to do what I want. If not Im just a sucker. "Here, take my money, then tell me how to feel about the product and tell me how to behave." Might as well tell me how to dress too.

- Buffalo--Sabres

If players or management do not want fans to boo, then win a playoff series once in a while. we deserve to boo if we want, the product we pay for is not up to par.

So be it ,if it is the 13th pick . I don't expect this guys to stop trying . Sure a top pick would be nice , but I do not expect these players to tank these games to get it for us. Fact is I am really enjoying watching these guys.

I don't expect them to purposely tank. It's just frustrating. We need some elite talnet up in this biotch

Honestly, I want to see us resign Scott too. He seems to be liked by the team and right now, they are having more fun than before, when everyone described the locker room as being so negative. I personally think that stuff goes a long way.

And I remember all the McNabb love that used to be around here thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread. Pysyk looks much better than him already imo. Looking forward to seeing more outta him.

- sambarugh

Totally agree. Scott will not win the scoring title, but he's actually pretty responsible with the puck, can pass, and kicks a$$. Nice to see him getting at least a semi-regular shift lately.
When McNabb was called up, I really didn't see what everyone was talking about-he seemed unsure of himself and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with that shot of his. Pysyk looks like Myers in his rookie year.

Even if they tried, they wouldn't be able to do it better than Calgary or Colorado...

I still think we can move for a top pick. We have prospects and picks to move up. All possible. Who knows... maybe we ship Miller to the Avs or Calgary to get one of their picks? Seeing as how they are the odds on favorites for the top picks. Miikka Kiprusoff is rumored to be retiring, so that's an opening. Varlomov isn't doing too much either. All possibilities. Wouldn't rule them out for a top 5 pick, especially if we are looking to blow this team up.

I won't even carry this farther nor even reply to your troll comment.
Just wanted to show some here that you can not have a debate with some posters.
Do me a favor from now on then. If you see me posting "bad things" about Myers please do not reply to it because that will lead to a reply from me and then it will carry into a conversation which is what these boards are supposed to be used for. Not name calling

Having a top pick would be nice . But on the other hand the Oilers have had top picks for how many straight years and they probably still will miss the playoffs. There are no guarantees.

None of those top picks are getting moved. If the flames traded that pick for anything other than sidney crosby they would burn the saddledome down and chop feaster's head off. Avs are likely in the same position. Both Miller and Vanek will net good returns but they will likely be prospects who are surpluses in other organizations or future 1st rounders.

So does anyone know of an article that has posted a potential buyout candidate for each team this summer???

I was going to go through and do it myself.. but was curious if something was already published somewhere...

I know ours is going to be Leino..

I think these new UFAs added to the market this summer because of buyouts is going to make this UFA pool a little deeper than it is now...

most notably... Vinny Lecavalier signing a 3 year 18M deal with Buffalo..

Oilers are a horrible example. They literally started from 0 and had no depth whatsoever. We've got Hodgson, Foligno, Pysyk, Ennis, Armia etc. It would do us wonders to add one elite guy to compliment a group of very good young players.

I think pick 4 or 5 is possible, probably not 1-3. But who knows

If Ville Leino isnt healthy at the end of the season he CAN NOT be bought out. As much as it makes the most sense for us to buy him out if he is healthy I don't think they would. His cap hit isn't that bad and there needs to be some veterans on this team. I am of course assuming Vanek and or Stafford gets moved

lol.... yea but I like Vinny....

32 years old... huge body... leader... leads his team in checks.. physical... fights for his teammates... when paired with top line talent was a 80+ pt scorer but when put on the 2nd line with the likes of malone, downie, and prospal went down to 55-65 pts....
