Buffalo ranks 30th in shorthanded shots against (the most).

The Sabres special teams is the biggest difference between Miller in his Vezina season, and Miller this season. Because even strength he is performing above his Vezina season.

Also, Buffalo shot up to dead last in the league in times shorthanded because Steve Ott is on this team. Hes #2, just 1 minor away from a share of the lead.

You can't expect that the guys that are getting a shot right now are just going to go out and wing it. They're trying to play for a spot on the roster next year.

it is really sad though, that the AHL team has played better than the NHL team.

Zags has done crap since going back over to Europe, so I don't think they were entirely wrong on him. It's too bad they realized it too late.

From what I heard, he just doesn't have the hockey sense he needs. He's missing a lot between the ears.

I don't expect them to lie down....I get it. It just frustrates me to no end that this has become the norm. Start bad....pull your head out for the heroic run to 8th or 9th. Straight garbage.....embrace mediocrity. While I don't root for loses....we had much more to gain in this draft by losing. Let see if Darcy can pull something off to move us up the board.

I have been saying for a few days we are going to make our run to 9th so we can draft the next Drew Stafford. We need an elite talent IMO

I don't expect them to lie down....I get it. It just frustrates me to no end that this has become the norm. Start bad....pull your head out for the heroic run to 8th or 9th. Straight garbage.....embrace mediocrity. While I don't root for loses....we had much more to gain in this draft by losing. Let see if Darcy can pull something off to moveus up the board.

It's different this year though. It's not the same group of guys from the beginning of the season. It's very different.

Plus they've moved assets to start a rebuild. I see the frustration, because trust me, I want a top 3 pick just as bad as anyone else, but you can't expect that the "new" guys aren't gonna try either.
