Timing is everything. You block a goalie's view of the puck, he doesnt get a read on it, and it messes up his timing.

I can't really say 100 times out of 100 times a goalie needs to make a save when hes been partially screened.

Those split seconds of not having sight of the puck are valuable when it comes to reaction timing.

Special teams certainly leaves a lot to be desired that's for sure. I'm used to our PP not being that great the last few years, but the PK is usually still pretty solid. This year, it's just a tire fire.
