strome and nelson are filthy together and nino joined them on the power play... Nino also looked great with Ulstrom and Persson. I was impressed with Pedan..he needs to bulk up and get stronger but he is a tree and is a good skater

Also did anyone catch the blog about PK Subban being a finalist for the Norris? I said it before the season, the isles shoulda tried to pluck him from Montreal. Anyone here not think a Norris trophy candidate (only a few years in the league) not worth 5 or 6 million?

That's exactly what it is at this point. The only time I have looked at her posts in the last 6 months has been due to a comment in the forum!

At this point we'd be better off with a guest blogger. We could just take turns writing a blog. Hell, some of our comments are longer (and better) than her blogs anyway...

Teams that made deadline deals are having problems:

PITT has three new forwards they need to work though Jokinen scored the lone goal and SO winner against NYR.

OTT lost 4 in a row though they picked up Conacher and solved the goalie jam.

NYR playing well but even Tortorella claimed Lundquist bailed them out against CAR.
They also have a game at hand on Isles and Isles have to play PHA and BOS before they play NYR saturday. However NYR have two against NYJ and either they will look for revenge for last year's playoffs or NYJ will be pounding for a playoff spot. If Kovy returns they have a better chance and can't even count out BUF, WIN/WAS. Only can begin to count out PHA if we take care of biz Tuesday but their record is good against us, so not an easy climb to playoff berth.

After so many years at the bottom of the conference, it would be nice to see the Isles back in the playoffs. NY has everything to win in the upcoming years to have two good NY teams consistently in the playoffs.
