I know my god it is ridiculous. Weber is going on 26 and he may finally solidify a NHL roster spot full time. He has never played more than 55 games in a year. So all of the sudden he's a better player than the guy that has been in the NHL full time since he's been 19

I don't really see the point in bringing in a 4-5 type guy, bc that prob puts McNabb or Pysyk on the bench... And I'd rather let them play & grow together

I do see your point.... I think that you can't put McNabb and Pysyk together.. they might be good linemates together in Rochester.. but two rookies on the same line is begging for bad news....

I personally would love us to move Sekera and keep Pardy or sign O'Bryne. Myers, Ehrhoff, Pysyk, and McNabb all can put the puck on the net very strong... Sekera is getting stale... too often injured.

Do you even watch the games . Or just the highlights where Myers has a lapse . He has looked fine the last three games . Yes he has lapses . He is still young . It is very rare for defencemen to dominate in this league when they are young . They all regress at times . Get over it . It is just getting old . Find something new to dwell on.

Now they have a book on him and he is "an easy read" . Hence his regression.

I think Webers play has been pretty damn good as of late. He at best is a 3/4 guy IMO.

I am not discounting Weber at all.. I do like his game alot... I like it that he lays the body a TON... but he has things he needs to work on too.. he still seems to turn the puck over.. .and he does still have position issues.. he likes to go for the big hits more than play angles which can leave Miller out to dry.... last year was 10x worse and he has gotten better and i am happy for Weber..

One good season does not a career make.

Just like his numbers since Rolston took over mean nothing. You just don't like him, along with alot of people so he will never be very good. He has had some horrible games this year. He has also had some very good ones.

I think this team has proven that we don't need Vanek and his 7.2M contract in order to win games in the NHL...

Miller... I am on the fence about.. I don't really know if he would even resign or not... but with youth movement coming and his large contract.. I don't know if he is in the plans for it... I like it that he has been playing very strong as of late though.

Never said it did for Weber but he is PROgressing while all Myers keeps doing is REgressing.
Weber will be a main stay here because he is a lunch bucket soft on the salary cap 3-6 type of dman. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Myers will be moved sooner or later or bought out in years ahead because of underachieving and not so cap friendly contract.
Just my opinion.

Agreed, except Pysyk and Hodgson for me. Pysyk looked really good last night.

He was up in the play and geeting deep into the zone. He is very quietly playing like what Myers did his rookie season. I like his confidence.

Exactly... Therefore if he is not that kind of player then he isn't nearly as valuable. Take away the height hype and he is a offensive dman that has gotten worse every year.

He is probably still worth a lot in trade value even with that contract. Lets trade him before teams see another year of him being an average at best dman.

Do these forums have an ignore function ? That way you don't have to see posts by people who make the forum redundant and do not have any solid input , but just silly jibberish. Other non sports forums I use do . It is really useful . They should really add one here . It would be a very good addition.

I am slowly turning to the dont trade Miller side. I really have liked his game recently, it looks like he has something to prove. I just hope he wants to stay. I got a bad feeling he will want out after wathcintg him lay on the ice face down after forcing a faceoff after NJ had the puck in the zone for 2+ min.
