Ryan Miller looks like he escaped from the mental hospital.

Anyone interested in Rolston as the coach next year?

- toddkac

Think Rolston will even be interested? I question that at times.

NMC have nothing to do with buyouts.
- TimBits

Are u sure?
In order to buy someone out they first have to be put on waivers...
And I was under the impression you can't waive someone w a NMC
I might be wrong there, but I believe I heard that
Either way, it's an awful contract for an overrated player
And I don't wanna sign Miller or Vanek to a similar deal... Trade them this offseason & get a great return for them

Question : would the team making a miracle run to somehow get into the playoffs mean either...

A. The team still stinks and will be out quickly in round one.

or

B. Energize the team, and specifically Miller, and give them a chance to win a round?

A top 3 draft pick is obviously the best possible option to most help the team, but I am curious what most think about the question above.
I am guessing A. would be chosen by almost everyone.

we would have to go 9-1 or 8-1-1 to make the playoffs at this point. We don't have the talent to do that, we should be TANKING.

If Miller plays focused for an entire series, he can carry the team to win a few rounds on his own

Sens series after the lockout and the Rangers series the following season proved it.

Would it shock me if the sabres beat the pens in a playoff series?
No

if our special teams were average, this would be a playoff team right now

If Rolston or coach "X" was the coach at beginning of the season we are in the playoffs IMO

Agree completely...

I feel bad for this team as it stands now because they are playing with some heart. The problem is that last nights game is a classic example of where the team stands.. They were absolutely mauled in their own zone ALL...NIGHT....LONG..

If they made the playoffs as an 8 seed they'd be destroyed. Miller is playing well but the D (and the team) can't get out of their own way in their own zone..

Last night was disgusting and reminded me of the first Montreal game a few weeks back where we won but Montreal had us pinned in our own zone all night long.

I can't wait to draft our next Drew Stafford 11th overall in June. We need elite talent, drafting 10-15 isn't doing us any good. If we finish this season decent, Darcy needs to hike up the skirt and go after a top 5 pick

you cant trade for a top 5 pick if the other team doesnt want to trade it away, and why would they?

Myers on both Jersey goals again....
His act is really really old now and so are the excuses.
Really hope the giraffe is dealt at the draft.

Because we have NHL players and a boatload of picks that might interest a team. There's a report that Feaster is under pressure to make the playoffs next year. Try a move with Calgary. Carolina could slide in the bottom 5, they certainly are not rebuilding.

Wrong, 2nd goal wasn't his fault at all. First goal was a set play off the faceoff and Bernier read it and made a nice play.

The shorthanded goal wasn't just him, it was the other 4 guys standing there like traffic cones that did nothing as well. How do you let a guy just skate in and around everyone and nobody do anything?

Ehrhoff stood still the entire time and took no one, Myers took the shot away and forced him around the net. Anyone who blames Myers for that goal has an agenda

Myers is much to blame as the rest of them, at the end he gave up on the play and the others looked like they didn't even try.

It was a set play but even I saw it coming and I've never laced up skates..

As soon as he made the soft dump off the boards behind the net I started to wince.

He just flat out needs to play smarter. The entire team does in their own end. Patrick should make this his mantra on the blackboard in bold letters:

GET THE EFFING PUCK OUT AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He took him around the net. Ehrhoff literally stood still in front of Miller, he could have stepped right into Zubrus and the play would have been over. Or if one of the forwards back checks it's not a goal.
