Very offensively minded. Creative. Brings an element to our D that we really don't have right now. Free wheeling. - Michael_Stuart
Do you think he's being brought in because he gives the team what they are missing, or do you think he's just being brought up to get him some experience now that the playoffs are out of reach?
Tampa is 3rd in goals scored, 22nd in Goals Against.
Salo and Carle were brought in to add offense to a team that had these same issues last year. Along with Hedman, this team can bring some firepower from the backend.
So back to my question, is Barbiero coming up to help the team or to develop?

Dude, it is apparent and understandable that you clearly have NOT watched any Sabres games, except perhaps when they have played the Bolts. miller has for most of the season played out of his mind. So, don't take this personally, but your comments are simply ignorant from an uninformed observer. The Bishop trade will fall flat for the Bolts, while Miller would have been a huge improvement for your team...time will show that he has caught lighting in a bottle in Ottawa and was a product of the Sens defensively sound system. Mm,iller is used to being hung out to dry like Bishop has now experienced with Tampa...except Millwr thrives in it...you may not like Millers brunt honesty, but the is no denying his performances. Don't confuse team ineptness with a singles ayers performance. - IonSabres
Evidently you don't read very well, reread and think before typing. Miller has been average this year behind a defensive corps that leaves a lot to be desired. a 14-15-5 record and 2.77 GAA and .915 are mediocre for him. While you say Bishop is a flop well the tale has yet to be told but a 2.03 and .945 while 1-2 aren't too bad and a combined 9-7 with a 2.37 and .927 % so even with Tampa's crappy goaltending this year Buffalo has still given up more goals. Explain please if you can. |

Just to fill in for Hedman for a game or two. Taormina is more of a stay at home when we need someone to move the puck. |

If we are able to depart from Aulie and possibly Brewer which UFA defensemen could benefit us the most?
Rob Scuderi
Ryan Whitney
Mark Fistric
Joe Corvo
All are free agents and very good at what they do. As for me, cost wise, Mark Fistric is a good bet. |

The only one I'd take over Brewer there is Scuderi. I want to keep Aulie too - he's still young.

The problem is, Aulie is not as strong as he should be. |

Both. Barberio is an excellent QB for the power play, and even though it should be a dynamite PP the Bolts PP has been awful at times and inconsistent at best. That being said, Barberio has spent plenty of time in the AHL and his time is now. So he will get his time here to continue to develop all the while actually helping this team on the PP. |

this is true...
but ben bishop was hung out to dry his first night in net with us and had a shutout with 45 saves lol so saying that he is gonna suck big time with this system is not true.
Also, tampa is currently changing their system and getting use to it with new coach jon cooper.
And ben bishop's save% has gotten higher since he's came from Ottawa as well lol so idk what ur trying to say |

all of our defenseman do...INCLUDING HEDMAN i know hes a puck mover and has smooth hands but man..if your 6'6 and your in the NHL with guys like tyler johnson and marty who are like 5'6-5'8 who put in an effort to hammer the defense on the forecheck...when you have forwards coming into forecheck you lower your damn shoulder..OR TAKE THE BODY ON THE ODD MAN RUSH FFS
...when i was playing ...if a team came down 2-on-2 our defenseman would switch positions quickly and one defenseman would come across and just hammer the guy with the puck ... we need to see this stuff happen from our overly sized defenseman...all of them...gudas is our smallest defenseman maybe carle and gudas is a beast..jeeze...sustr is 6'8ffs do something hit soebody...i hear all of ya |
