No excuses, just pointing out the facts. Sure, the Rags spanked the Pens 1 time in 4 tries, but I discount that slightly because of who was missing.
You are the one crowing about a single regular season game, probably because it might be their biggest accomplishment of the year when your team of chronic underachievers manages to miss the playoffs. - Emperor Filonius
well, just hope your guys stay out injured
that way when you guys have another early round exit, you'll be able to run to Hockeybuzz in your excuse mobile |

No way!
1. If this is a suspension - Cooke should be out of the game completely!
2. Why does everyone shout so loud as soon as a Pens player get hit.
3. This is in no way a suspension, maybe not even a hit to take Del Zotto out of the game at the night. It was an accident! |

Yes, presumptuous, but I like my chances...and Kings fans weren't here last year talking smack about regular season wins like your buddy Jimbro..so no, I didn't say a peep to them. - Emperor Filonius
I'd say your chances are good though I presumed the same about
Them last year and am hoping for a similar result.
As for your second
Point, I don't think the kings have any
Fans.

This. Its pretty clear Del Zotto saw Nal as he's looking over his left shoulder in the beginning of the video....he threw the elbow to give himself him space and it unfortunately happened to connect with Neal in the head...so a very reckless play with intent...but hard to say the head was the target but its the kind of thing the NHL should be wanting to avoid....so should have been a major penalty and a fine.
Dupuis was clearly going after Del Zotto, and got the penalty he deserved. Fine by me. You throw an elbow like that and knock out a star player, you should be prepared for some retribution. - Emperor Filonius
Princess Filo, how would any human anticipate Neal skating completely away from the puck? What is Neal thinking? He should be suspended for attempting to injure MDZ's elbow. |

It's obvious everyone's not going to agree on one thing, so this topic is dead. What I've learned from this (or rather have been reinforced) is that shanaban is the most inconsistent dumbass. If plays similar to this have caused a disciplinary hearing then DZ should of at least had one. We all know something like this will happen again and that player will get a fine or suspension. |

100% yes!!! He peeked over his shoulder then through the elbow! He def meant to do it. Of course flyer fans are going to say good for Neal, just shows their class. By the way have fun fighting for a playoff spot |

The rags were considered major overachievers all of last year.
Ya might want to look up 'chronic' in the dictionary before
Using it. |

And furthermore the NYR have had to rely on trades and wise
Drafting in the later rounds to produce their over achievers
Rather than totally sucking so bad for so long that they get two #1s and
Two #2s to build their team around. |

Yeah, and Pens fans are all class.

So in 5 years when the BJs or oilers possibly get a good team from low draft picks it won't count because they sucked for those picks?? |

philly fans threw batteries at players (J.D. Drew), cheered career ending injuries (Michael Irvin), and booed santa claus so yeah i would say they are the most classless scum on the earth. |

I have not one time endorsed what Matt Cooke did!! Nor do I like him as a player. But to say that because its a penguin there should be no suspension??? There was intent to injure! And yes pens fans have a lot more class than philly fans, sorry to have to tell you that |

For some reason I'm reminded of glass houses.
And I would never wish injury on any player. That's wrong. But some Pens fans here on this board don't feel the same way. True Class. |

the 1994 Stanley Cup film is easily found in stores and online in full blazing color.
And, if the league didn't arrange for you to get Crosby, your 1991 and 1992 banners would be hanging currently in some arena in Kansas City - jimbro83
As I await for Mario to have Crosby make another phone call for him to avoid tampering charges to pry away the next player that gets traded elsewhere first, to instead become a Penguin.
But maybe its not Mario alone here; because this team in reality has been as if its the Bettman-run Penguins. |

I'm glad to hear you are making a good living off of SS and disability. That means you must have alot of time to watch hockey since you sound soooooo knowledgable in the subject. - Francois Leroux
Did you read what you responded to here? For my over 50 age, I look and have the energy of one that's half that age, since I can still play goal against equal, but mostly younger age competitive type players. Not ZZ league players like you, if you can even hold a hockey stick with your hands, or just stand up on the ice only with double blades. Plus I have followed hockey since my pre-teenage days.
So I am not, nor was ever on disability; and do not collect SS, because I'm not at the minimum retired age to do so; which you didn't even know the U.S. gov't. rules are to be eligible for; let alone probably, who the U.S. PRESIDENT is as well today!
I learned at an early age how to save not only shots playing goal; but money; unlike you and your type of fulltime twittery facebook texters. |

typical arrogant new yorker. its easy to support several teams when your city is so flushed with money, as you so aptly point out. pens have sold out now for seasons and do it with fans that are willing to spend precious income on games. pens fans expect their team to take that money and put it into the team, like they do now... hence the lower attendance when the team doesn't spend its money, like in the lean years prior to the crosby draft. this concept may be difficult for a big mucketymuck like yourself - ChrisMS
First thing here, go read in posting time order, who brought up PERSONAL life into this discussion first. It was "Fran-what's" who did; & not me. This is a hockey site.
I was only responding and making points on whether Del Zotto deserved a suspension in Friday's game; and then answering Non-Rangers fans posts claiming that the Rangers never get any suspensions. "Fran..." could not accept my hockey facts due to a lack of "knowledge" in jealousy of mine. Then he mocked me on the $$$ issue of my personal life and where I live. CASE CLOSED!
So for the two of you, GROW UP!

So since the hawks took a similar path as the pens to win a cup too, they are just as pathetic?? Many teams in the NHL have their team today because of a few high draft picks.

This is most certainly a careless play. I believe that if you are supposed to be in control of what your stick is doing than surely you should be aware that violently swinging your arm behind your back because you are in fear of being out of position, could very well be potentially dangerous to the person who is about to skate around you.
That being said, hockey is a game of emotions and reactions. It is quite clear that MDZ was not intending to smash Neal in the face but he also didn't try to make sure he didn't smash Neal in the Face. |
