i respect your opinion on that. i was pretty angry when he left too but it's all in the past for me now.
now i'm just remembering the good stuff. went to his first game here (but didn't everyone) and totally remember exactly where i was when he scored the OT winner versus calgary - stuck at red light, and when he scored the guys in the car beside me went just as nuts as i did. good times, good times. - hnic
Good times indeed. I can just picture two dudes go beserk alone in their respective cars like they have some Metal show blowing their minds!
Not to mention that they tried paying him in Canadian dollars instead of Us dollars. That's a massive kick in the naughty bits.
I agree with what most of you good folks have pointed out, as I said to Fosco, I have a hard time letting go of grudges. - Marwood
If those principles were applied to my own life, everyone I know would hate me. People, specially young people, make mistakes, let it go. He was unquestionably the most talented player to ever play for the Canucks.

Riddled with mistakes. I'm starting to learn, now.
No questioning his talent. Part of my frustration is not knowing just what the hell went on and I know we never will.

Agreed. We've never had a guy before or since that had that same ability to lift you out of your seat with excitement.
I think the problem first began with Quinn's boss at the time before Quinn became the GM and Pres. His name escapes me right now.... Mchammond? - boonerbuck
Stan McCammon came later, he was Burke's boss, was responsible for not renewing, during the MaCaw era.
I believe that Quinn answered directly to Arthur Griffiths, the family that sold to the Seattle billionaires. I could be off by a few years though.

Can't believe Luongo said he would void his contract if possible. He would be giving up millions of dollars just to be able to leave Vancouver? Luongo should shut his mouth and just focus on being a team player. The Canucks don't need his distractions right now. - flamminghead
Glen Healy has to be the biggest knob in sports . I very seldome wish a bus would strike someone down ,but he really does not deserve to live. - VANTEL
