Yeah, he's human. From seeing how emotional posters here get after a 2 game losing streak i'm pretty sure we can all agree we can give him a pass for the time being and hope the media scrutiny dies down until the season is over. - golfingsince
Yeah I know , but Lu should have a gag order . He should only do press confrences as Stombone 1
He is more relaxed on twitter. |

Respectly can't agree with you on that one. I'm of the camp that he can go f^ck himself and never come back to Vancouver again. |

Agreed. It's a shame how he was treated by management while he was with the team, especially by Quinn. Wish his tenure could have ended on a better note.

I thought he praised Quinn and still talks to him to this day.
Who knows, so much speculation, rumours ( or roomers ) and half truths. Still think he turned his back on the city & the fans. |

Hadn't heard anything about his relationship with Quinn, other than the early stuff that Bure wasn't happy about. Maybe they've patched it up, which would be a good thing. They certainly owe each other a bit for their respective successes.
I agree that he could have handled the situation better—that can be said for both sides—but I don't blame him for being unhappy, and wanting out. Apparently he'd asked for and been promised a trade over a year prior to his hold out.
Either way, he was pretty young, and deserves the benefit of the doubt, and forgiveness.
I likely wouldn't have been as die-hard a Canuck fan if it weren't for him. One of the most exciting players to ever play the game. |

I seem to recall something about a large bonus that was promised and reneged on as being one of the key reasons Pavel wanted out of here. |

i respect your opinion on that. i was pretty angry when he left too but it's all in the past for me now.
now i'm just remembering the good stuff. went to his first game here (but didn't everyone) and totally remember exactly where i was when he scored the OT winner versus calgary - stuck at red light, and when he scored the guys in the car beside me went just as nuts as i did. good times, good times. |

He could be quiet like Cody Hodgson was and just have a one sided victimization by Gillis in the media. Or keep quiet about the methodes Gillis uses to bury contracts he doesnt want to stand behind anymore like Manny has been. At least Linden spoke up a little about Gillis' conduct after he was pushed into deciding to retire.
Not everyone on this team is capable of just taking it dry.

edit
I think the problem first began with Quinn's boss at the time before Quinn became the GM and Pres. His name escapes me right now.... Mchammond? |

Not to mention that they tried paying him in Canadian dollars instead of Us dollars. That's a massive kick in the naughty bits.
I agree with what most of you good folks have pointed out, as I said to Fosco, I have a hard time letting go of grudges. |
