Vezina conversation is too early. Were we not just worried about falling to 8th this time last week?.

This board is becoming manic. "We" (The 'generalized we') get too high after a win and too low after a loss.

Take a breath everyone.

(Just my humble opinion)

I know exactly what you mean.. however... Schneider has played great all year. (overall)

This team has been jekyl and hyde all year.. but with the acquisition of Roy and with this team healthy they have 3 very capable lines. If CS can play like this come playoffs.. this team will be very competitive. A contender, if you will.

It comes down to our goaltending.. and whether the PP can straighten out. If the trend continues.. I like our chances! We have barely seen what this team can do when healthy. Excited to see

OK... guilty.

I just think that CS is maybe top 7 behind too many to be seriously considered.

I think I am jaded as I think Vancouver is the only contender that could still lose a game 7- 1. It's only a single loss but still....

I don't even care about the regular season.. finish 3rd... finish 7th.. I don't care. As long as they are in. We have seen this team win back to back presidents trophy. History has shown us that regular season success means jack poop when the playoffs arrive.

Getting hot at the right time is key.. and we will see how these last 9 games go

I like what I see in Kesler. He is just the kindling we need to get this fire going.

He's top 2 in SV% and #1 in shutouts in a year where he was jerked around and not allowed to get into a rhythm until 11 games ago... Not to mention our D has been a musical chairs circus all season... He's legit as a top 5 goaltender in this league, although IMO he's top 2 or 3.

I'm interested to see how this team plays against playoff teams now that they are healthy ... in the past month they have shown signs of brilliance against non playoff teams but have yet to really impress against playoff teams ... They have had bad luck with injuries so they get a bit of a pass but now there are no excuses ... It's time to either play some good hockey .... Or jump on schnieders back and see how far he can take them

Rask has the same S% as Schneider with a lower GAA, more starts and more wins. Still some games to go, but Rask has the edge right now.

My two goalies in the hockeybuzz pool.
Last pick, I take Schneider and Rask first/second round and everyone laughed.

We cant really prove anything until our last week where we face chicago and the ducks... Our schedule for the next couple of games should be pretty easy

Tuned into the game mid way through the second, and had one eye open during the third. There were both positives and negatives:

Positives:

I loved how almost every line was willing to go to the net, I saw Burrows under a pile of players at least twice!

How good does Roy look with the puck! The guy might not be big, but he's quick and slippery and has the ability to find the open player, looking like a quality rental.

Schneider. And to a lesser extent, Luongo. Lu, even though disappointed about not starting seems to be having fun with the whole back up thing.

I watched the pre-game interviews, and I had a thought on Kesler. Remember the 2010/11 Kesler? Interview bombing, happy go lucky. This year's Kesler looks pissed off, he was kurt and a little annoyed with the reporters, maybe this will be an all business Kesler.

Negatives:

You have got to convert on more than one of the forty something shots you get on a goaltender. It wasn't like they were all from the outside, there were plenty of quality chances, right in front of the net.

A few too many odd man chances against. Bad line change, poor decision by the D at the point, but a real team is going to bury those chances.

During the midst of our losing streak I was on record as saying we'd win our division. Nothing's changed in that regard.
