Everytime AV has talked about easing Kes into the lineup with 15 minutes of ice time it ends up being between 19 and 21 minutes. Will it be any different this time? He has said too many times to count in post game "we obviously didnt intend to play Kes as much as we did"... followed by what ever excuse would work at the time.... like Kes said he was good or penalty trouble....

Didn't read the province article, but I did read Elliot Pap in the Sun so I'm sure they're pretty much the same.

I think the difference this time around is AV stating that because of the condensed season with 10 games remaining and next to no practicing, Kesler will have to play himself into game shape, which I would hope automatically limits his ice time. I'm not going to hold my breath. I think this is the first I heard of AV allowing someone to play themselves into game shape.

Looks as though I'm going to have to fire Ian, again.
Scoob start preparing a game day blog. Thanks.
Vintage, you're the new Mod.
Vantel, Cosmos for everyone!!

For a Coyotes game day blog, all we'd have to do is post Bettman's comments from today regarding the Coyotes franchise.

I think AV is playing Kes with Kass because that will automatically limit his ice time.

Agreed. There are lots of unpleasant fans out there, and they're not exclusive to any one team, although it may seem like some have more than others.

Best course of action is to ignore them, but that's not always easy. Other than that, just try to remember that a small group doesn't represent an entire group

I doubt that TSN posters are real hockey fans, there is some real crap spewed on those boards.

You know, it was minus 18C this morning in northern Alberta and this day hasn't gotten any better. Hopefully it's an entertaining game tonight, but I'm not holding my breath!

Just a follow up to my rant last week; on the Oiler/Kings story on TSN there are 7 pages of comments. Literally every 3rd comment is from a canucks 'fan' telling the Oiler fans how bad their team and city are. It makes real Canuck fans like you look bad to the rest of Canada considering it was a game between the Oilers and Kings......thank you for accepting my apology as well.
- Spikejones

You do realize don't you that TSN pays people to post incendiary nonsense to their forums? It's done to create a 'more passionately-engaged audience' and drive up hit counts. Cost-effective way to bilk more cash out of their advertisers.

When other trolls follow the pro's lead it ends up looking like an organized effort.

Ok, Vancouver / Phoenix pre-game:

Canucks come in riding an incredible high, destroying the bottom feeding Flames 5-2 in their last game and going 8-2-0 in their past 10. The Canucks also welcome back Selke winner Ryan Kesler and Norris wanna be Keith Ballard to the lineup tonight. Ballard should inject some energy with a few big hits and his booming shot from the point, while Kelser will add a significant upgrade on offence at the same time as making the 5 on 5 defensive play much better.

The Coyotes on the other hand narrowly escaped the Mile High City, eking out a 4-0 victory over the lowly Avalanche. The dessert dogs are a paltry 4-4-2 in their past 10 and sit just outside the top 8 in the western conference.

This one should be no contest, one of the leagues best against one of the leagues worst, easily a 7-2 win for Vancouver.

It's good for hockey when an incredibly popular team like the Leafs get in. It's about time!

Talking Heads. I used to listen to those guys so much. Haven't for years. Thanks for the reminder.
