Right now that's tough .... Hawks are there fir sure .... Then there are a few teams in the running ... Healthy Pitt is there ... Kings probably .... Then you have the bruins Habs ducks Canucks ...week to week those 4 seem to rotate

I agree, far easier to pick a top 8.

Tough matchup IMO. Divisional opponent that plays defensively.

Agreed, but we can take them. SJ, DET, and ANA are the only other offensive teams in playoff contention. It's sad the way the NHL is going. The last time I checked great D didn't lift people out of their seats.

Hard to disagree with Hawks, Kings, Pens. Rags have Henrik.

Boston ? Not so sure. Losing Bergeron would be huge.

Oh that's right ... If he doesn't play I don't know how far they go at all

Holy Smokes CBC --- have another Max Reinhart-gasm???

And did they ever mention that he was a -1 on that first goal?

- Beatle_john

That goal was on the d who pinched and the d who took the shooter ... When you have a goalie who is as aggressive ( overly at times ) as kipper and comes way out to challenge the shooter you have to take the pass ... He didn't ... And that have hamhuis a tap in

Could the rangers be a sleeper to upset a top seed if ( I think they will ) they get in ?

As a US ratings market. Do you think people there pull for the Canucks? Do you think it's a viable market? Do you think people follow the NHL whatsoever?

I'd be surprised if the Rags didn't get in. They can beat anyone in a 7 game series as they have enough talent and a world class goalie.

With the 16-14 east-west next few years has to lead you to believe something has to be going on in the west ... And with the coyotes pretty much gone .... I'd doesn't add up with potential in Quebec and TO area ... They wouldn't move the wings and jackets for just a couple seasons ... My guess is seatle , maybe Kansas City Maybe Vegas ( I have heard this , terrible idea ) , if only there wasn't another western Canadian market to put a team

King hendrik seems to be coming back to form too .... I'm really pulling for the jets to get in too but I think their only hope is beating the caps ... And the way great8 has been lately that might be tough to do

They need another goalie too. Someone to give them a good 25-30 games(pavelec backup?). Travel is an issue out of Winnipeg, I doubt they get in. Caps are a scary matchup cuz Ovie is still one of the best players when motivated. The best you can hope for these days is to be a contender. I'd have to label the Canucks as one of those.

Very tumultuous year last season after they fired Martin. I've always liked Eller as a player. Having Markov back helps out a ton. The 2 rookies have played exceedingly well.

Jones, Drouin or McKinnon could be in northwest soon...or whatever division it' will be called. Could be some great hockey for our division for years to come.

I think there is a market. There was a poll conducted about a year ago which showed hockey as the more desirable sport (even more than basketball) Seattle residents were interesting in seeing. From what I read the key investor wanted to build an arena (close to Safeco) that would double up as a hockey and basketball arena. Additionally, there would undoubtedly be an influx of Canuck fans driving down to watch live NHL hockey at reasonable prices (for once), so that would boost the business case.

Personally, on a long term basis, I see Seattle as one of the more viable options for relocation out there. It's a sporting city, wealthy, the residents want it, and there is a natural rivalry ready to spark up with Vancouver. Plus it reduces the Canucks travel time, which is something they've been complaining about to the league for ages.

Too bad Colorado is leaving. We could have number 1 and 2 in the same division.

If the season finished today the canucks would be matched up with Minny in the 1st round. Do the nucks win that series? Minny's stacked. I think it would go seven.
