So, if Brayden Shenn tore his ACL would it be karma for him intentionally leaving his feet from 10 feet out and ramming Martin into the boards injuring him and ending his season last year in the same play-off series and NO PENALTY was called? - Oneonta Penguin
He left his feet from 10 feet out and still managed to launch someone into the boards? What about his landing gear, was it disengaged at this point? What about his thrusters?

Of course there was no action MDZ still plays for the Rangers doesn't he ? Greedy Gary wants the biggest US television market in the playoffs ....whatever it takes Shanny, whatever it takes. |

No because Flyer fans don't remember that. Just like Sabres fans can't see shoulder to shoulder, like Ranger fans call everyone whiners when they do nothing but.
MDZ while reckless didn't deserve a suspension. Nash does for slashing someone from the bench, that is bush league at its finest.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS KARMA!!!!!
THIS IS CALLED HOCKEY!!!! |

I do but I don't see your point. I'm not advocating MDZ's hit. Was it intentional? That's a hard one to tell. But it was reckless and therefore I thought at least a fine would have been handed out. The number one thing is that a player should be in control of his body at all times or else discipline.
Schenns hit on Martin was not THAT bad, however he did get suspended this year on a hit that he clearly left his feet. If Schenn tore his ACL throwing a big hit where he left his feet then fine that's karma. But what does that have to do with anything? |

My problem with this play is he chose to throw an elbow instead of playing the puck even though it was pretty much on his stick.
He definitely sees him. I think we need to hire Eugene Melnyk to prove Del Zotto's intent. |

Meh, I didn't like the play, but it happens. I don't know if it was dirty or not.
I preferred the Nash slashing Cooke from the bench play and hiding behind Callahan and Powe. We know that Nash probably isn't scared of Cooke, but that is mostly because he doesn't want another asswhooping from Geno. |

Yes, the numbers on mdz's back were created by google, and mdz saw him the whole time.
Can anyone tell me why Neal was skating to the right when the puck was to Mdz's left? Neal, as a reckless headhunter, should bring more control to his otherwise fine game. He certainly brings the skill, but lacks some basic intelligence.
Cheers! |

Because Malkin had the puck support to Neal's left. You know that whole first guy take the body, second guy take the puck philosophy these guys were taught at 12 years old? Didnt expect you to. |

Clearly guilty but, the NHL needs the Rangers in the post season to increase television ratings |

Only difference between Del Zotto and Gordie Howe on a play like that are the elbow pads. |

I don't think there is a player in the league that isn't afraid of Cooke. |

Question...
Why do you delete so many of your own posts? Do you just come to the realization that you're not funny at all after you hit 'submit' or are you that insecure about how random people on the internet will perceive you? |

The thing I don't get is Jannik Hansen was making a hockey play batting a puck out of the air and got what 2 games for accidental contact because Hossa's head collided with his arm. This is exactly the kind of bull crap that Shanny puts out... if you're gonna suspend people on reckless plays... then lay the boom on everyone. |

My god you pens fans really are babies. What you guys fail to see was Neal was about to hit DZ from behind while he was engaged with another player. Forgive me if I don't feel sympathy for him
Maybe not fully engaged but Malkin was coming in from his left - Marty Louganis

He's a Ranger, that's all you need to know. MSG runs the NHL these days and they say Rangers in the playoffs and it's taken care of. 0 for 2! |

I think if you look at the play... he def. sees him... do I think he was targeting the head? not really... but his elbow just happening to come around as Neal was skating by and him totally forgetting to play the puck didn't just happen by accident... by then again, when was the last time a Rangers player was actually suspended... they say everyone else is loved by the league yet they get away with crap all the time...
and good to see Nash fit in with the wussy mentality of the rangers... slashing a guy from your bench and then hiding behind your tough guy and captain? sad. |

Ofcourse if Matt Cooke elbowed someone he would get suspended....
Del Zotto elbowed Neal during a hockey play....its not like he slashed your goalie when skating by his crease - wheresthesoda
or like slashing someone from your own bench? |

PK Subban makes these hits all the time. For some reason you can leave your feet to make the hit with your back, swing your elbow, and it isn't an issue with the league. |

It's not the hit by mdz that is the issue, it's the equipment that hit Neal that is the problem.
Softer elbow pads and he skates away, why do you need body armor on the already hard elbows? Go back to padding for all upper body equipment, these players feel like they are indestructible, time for them to start realising its the equipment, not them.
Mdz turned at impact to make sure he made body contact, Neal's head was down due to the fact he can't keep his feet with body contact, so I can't see how, under the NHL's current system anyone throwing that hit gets a suspension, 1st or 5th time offence. |

Can't believe the fact morrow threw a similar hit in the same game wasn't mentioned. Probably because he kept his elbows in and didn't injure anyone. I am not going to debate intent because it's impossible but elbows to the head should be treated like a high stick. Penalty regardless of situation. Hope Neal is ok and on to the next game thank you to all the trolls for stopping by and sharing your interpretations of karma and your opinions on the actual hit. |

Queen Henrietta dives like no other goalie I've ever seen. Although MB has looked ridiculous at times too. Great goalies, but the slightest contact and they go down like they've been shot with an elephant gun. |

It was always fun watching Hasek sell contact.
Billy Smith and Ron Hextall must just shake their heads at goalies now. |

I was always hoping jussi would get picked up by the pens. I think he will be huge in the playoffs. He can be solid anywhere. Morrow seems invisible. Malkin looks lost. They are missing letang a ton. Gotta keep him. |
