I hope Jensen gets a fair few games here down the stretch. If he can find his footing at the NHL level he may be able to provide a spark for us in the playoffs when called on. I have Grabner in mind from a few years back when saying this.

I'm not going to read to much into last night's win. The team had some jump and Roy seemed to add a much needed offensive boost. But, we played the Oilers who are still very young and not so deep.

Agreed. It's nice to see the positivity from the fans after last night, the successful debut of Roy, and the solid return of Kassian, but it was one game against a team that's not exactly the stiffest of competition. 2 or 3 of these in a row and then we'll be talking.

A team coming in pretty hot though. Outscored their opposition 25-7 in the previous 5 games and the Nucks shut them out. The D and Schneider deserve credit.

No one will get any such credit until they can string some games like that together... I want to see some consistency like that.. where it all comes together.

I've seen games where goalie sucks... team plays well.. win.
I've seen games where team sucks... goalie steals game... win.
I've seen this team play a great game all around.. and then lose 8-2 the next night.

I want to see some consistency... but I'm reserving any real judgement until the playoffs. They won the presidents trophy and lost first round... LA snuck in.. and won the cup. Its about getting hot at the right time.. so I could care less about this regular season and have already shifted my focus towards the playoffs*

Im just well acquainted with a fanbase being lumped in with their bloggers opinion and it boggles me that so many dont seem to realize that hes just one guy with an opinion. Thats it. Really, for the most part on here, the bloggers exist to provide us with discussion forums. Thats it. I dont even read Boners blogs anymore.

Yup, a hot team. Still a young one though. A team that has visions of playing for the Cup should beat this team down the stretch especially considering how close the standings are / were, even without Kesler. I'm more interested to see how we stack up against the heavyweights once #17 returns.
