Canucks are known slump busters, but I just can't see the Flames having an answer tonight. Their goal tending has been awful, they lost their "best" forward and defender with nothing really coming back.

I think the Sedins will have a big night, 5-0 Canucks.

I'm thinking the same.
Sedins 2 points
Roy 2 points
Higgins 2 points

Flames aren't slumping, they just aren't a competitive team anymore. Kipper's already dreaming of his porch swing and taking up smoking again.

Ok, maybe "slump" was the wrong word, streak, as in 4 losses in a row and 8 of the last 10. We all know that the Canucks can, at times, play down to their competition, but I just can't see that happening tonight. An early goal and the Flames wilt. As long as they don't let the Flames hang around in the game and start to feel good about themselves, I think this one gets a little ugly on the score board.

I got a chuckle out of that as well. If it were up to me Bowness would be shot out of a circus cannon as part of the Celebration of Light fireworks

I was there too . I got heat for saying he was free we should have taken him.

I know you were. A few others were also in agreement. I really think Jokinen could've helped us. Clearly MG didn't.

So, Calgary tomorrow night. Think Cammellari is feeling totally left behind? What's Calgary's record going to look like down the stretch with Kipper in retirement mode and the 2 top players in forward and defence gone? Feaster wants an NHL ready top pick bad!

Cammy should have been traded at the TDL but maybe another season at 6m was too much to swallow with the cap going down. With the lack of quality prospects I just can't see Calgary getting back on their feet in less than 4 years.

So, take this and your previous post and put them together. You want Jokinen as your 3rd or 4th line C at 3 million with the cap going down?

There is something special about Roy and Higgins. I think adding Kesler will be a great line going into the playoffs. We are going deep in this years playoffs... at least the western conference finals! Book it!

I would like to see someone beat that piece of turd to a pulp . Those kinds of hits are intended to end someones career . They totally are a blindside gutless action ,that he runs away from after he hits them.

Biggest piece if sh!t coward in the league .

It should warrant a suspension every time he does it. It's clear intent to injury.

Gay? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Perhaps (see the Roy bending buddy pic) or it could be the new contract he just signed. Whatever it is, the jump in Higgins game is quite noticeable.

Higgins-Roy-Kesler the bum-buddy line!

Yup. There are options to reduce your cap hit (2 buyouts, dump Luongo, etc) but I doubt Gillis (or maybe Aquilini) would consider any of them so in that light Jokinen would have too expensive.

If we make it to the WCF we make it to the SCF. It's just the way we roll.

I'd rather just keep Raymond.

50 seconds in early enough? Flames are done for this season and most likely next.
