If Crosby is expected to be out for the next few weeks or whatever... they should go back to Kunitz Malkin Neal, Dupuis Jokinen Iginla

Crosby can then slide into jokinen when he gets back. Its time to develop some sort of chemistry on what is now your top line and besides those lines are balanced well. Iginla and Neal on the same line just doesn't blow me away.

Just be thankful that the Penguins handle the concussion issue better than the Leafs...

You would think that if the NHLPA and NHL really cared about player safety, there would have to be some serious pushback against the Leafs organization on how they have mis-handled numerous concussions.

Wow, after seeing a report like that, no wonder UFAs steer clear of Toronto. It seems like an organization that doesn't care about it's players, just making money (can't even say winning, because they haven't won)

Wouldn't be stunned to see the Cryers sneak into the play-offs. The Jets are terrible now; same with the Devils ... Ottawa is injured; the Canes sucks

Right now, I would be surprised to see Pittsburgh hold onto the top spot. Letang needs to come back soon and that would help. Just don't like what I've seen the last two games. The good thing - after the Rags tonight, a few days off and then the bad Canes and the two Florida teams that aren't play-off teams.

How come Despres doesn't get a chance at least on the 2nd PP?

Good to hear about the progress of Samuelsson. I thought he was a nepotism pick for Ulf and was going to be a bust.

Hard to disagree with the Murray article, he is SLOW. When he hits he can eliminate players from the game. E. Kane completely disappeared after Murray hit him once.

The Rangers made him look silly, I saw Zuccarella fly by him like he was nailed to the ice. Hopefully at full strength the slowness will be hid by a swifter d pairing.

To me a Caps team with a HOT Ovie is a very dangerous team.

Maybe they didn't like getting the blame for Sid eating a puck?

I wish I was a Pittsburgh sports writer because I absolutely would ask that fat fu*k if he thought the "Hockey Gods" were responsible for Lupul getting hurt.

I would love if a hockey reporter/columnist would have the balls to ask that as a question to Carlyle.

Yes... yes they are. Especially if Holtby has another good playoff.

If this plays out, Caps-Rags and Pens-Flyers will continue what seems like their annual tradition of playing each other in the playoffs. Habs-Leafs would be awesome, BTW.

The article on Douglas Murray was pure BS. They talk about him like he's garbage. I'm glad he's out of that loser locker room.

Eaton & even Orpik getting PP time. Despres without a chance.

I'd like to see some fire on the team tonight. If they don't play hard as usual, I'm afraid of the outcome of this game.

Caps can't beat a healthy Pens team in a 7 game series, but otherwise the East appears navigable (not saying the Caps are going to advance, just that, like last year, a lot of potential matchups are probably a coin flip). Still think Boston will ultimately be the biggest challenge for Pittsburgh, though (if Boston can survive a round or two and actually face the Pens).

Depends on Bergeron, he is so important to their success. One of few forwards who can shut Crosby down (Zetterberg being another that comes to mind).

Bergeron is one of the best players in the league, maybe the most over looked player in the league.

Any update on him? I'm guessing that they will be OVERLY cautious with him (and rightly so).
