Hopefully Neal is back to normal soon. Take the week off and see what happens.
Losing another good forward will suck, but it will be lessened if we get Letang back. The Pens just can not create any offense from their breakout and they have no transition game. Either the defensemen just chip it out to center or a forward has to go back deep and carry the puck out of the zone. That creates one less option coming up ice in transition. |

Honestly you guys are worse then rangers fans. You are all over our guys. They have injuries to 2 toP 4 defenseman and the best Player in the world. Of course we are going to struggle. Iggy will be fine. He's played in Calgary his entire career and now is in a new system. Not to mention trying to figure out how to play with Geno who might be one of the hardest guys to predict. We have 9 more games for everyone to figure things out. That's how it should be viewed we have already Punched our ticket. Relax - dbell646

Not sure I saw anywhere that Giroux was hurt. Meltzer should have mentioned.
Link please?
Thanks, and cheers! |

I'm interested to see how Jokinen plays over the next few games while Sid is out. If he plays anything like he played last night, Bylsma has to find more of a role for him than the fourth line.
He was really good defensively, and seems to read the play well. |

Thats nuts. Del Zotto was turned around (blind to Neals location).
Neal should either improve his skating, keep his head up, stop playing with a hangover, or stop acting like a cheap shot artist and maybe bad karma will travel elsewhere. - Daman
He saw Neal coming you idiot, hence the elbow. He knew what he was doing when he stuck out the elbow. MDZ should be suspended, but like Shanahan's bed buddy Nash, won't be because he is a Ranger. |

Iginla looked very nice the second game when he played with Malkin. Where he scored that goal. He could have had 3 that night.. |

he said he tried to brace himself for neal's hit and it just ended up badly.
shanny hates the rangers in terms of discipline (see hagelin suspension, prust suspension, and a number of non-suspensions with mcdonagh and company getting headshotted). the only thing he's ever done that could be seen as bias towards is the non-suspension on nash. |

Jokinen is well rounded, was surprised Carolina put him on waivers. |

The Pensblog recap of last nights game said that he had an air of Fedotenko about him. I think that's true. He has the stocky build and skating style of Feds, and while a little less physical, he has a little more skill and plays all 200 feet like Fedotenko. |

The whole suspension thing is mind boggling... Besides the fancy videos, Shanahan is no better than Colin Campbell was. They miss a lot and even when they do suspend someone, it's a piddly 2-3 games.
Nothing will ever change, because no one in the League office or NHLPA wants it to. If they don't care about player safety or supplemental discipline, then I have a hard time caring either. |

With Neal injured, I'd say just put Bennett in his spot. Iginla hasn't found his game yet in Pitt, but Malkin and Neal have looked just as lost at times so there's no reason to blame Iggy.
Malkin has been playing very unmotivated it seems. When Sid was down last year Malkin went into beast mode and took over games by himself. The last 3 games without Sid, Malkin hasn't been playing like that. If I'm Shero, so far I have no reason to pay him anymore than Sid for the next 8 years |

I think Malkin's shoulder is still hurt. I haven't seen him take a full slapshot since he's been back. Has he? |

I'm a broken record but i still think its dumb how a boarding call is only a 5 min major when the player is injured. Kunitz was so lucky to be ok, but if he would of milked it a little more then the pens would of had a 5 min PP. |

It's very possible. And honestly I haven't seen his bomb shot since before he was injured |
