You know if the Penguins were smart, They'd amnesty buyout Crosby, which would immediately pay Crosby 60 or so million (2/3rds of whats owed, then have him sign a new 8 year deal for 24 million which would lower his cap hit to 3 million per year

Crosby still gets all the money he would have anyways and his cap hit is reduced by 5.7 million per year

I wonder what the league could do about it if the pens actually did this

he's not really hiding he's staring him straight in the eyes chirping him back. just because cally and powe are in front of him doesn't mean he's hiding.

nash would literally kill cooke. it's not even a contest.

- rangerdanger94

Nash is like one of those little dogs that hides under the table and barks at you. He knows he would get destroyed if actually tried to do anything. He got called out and hid, what a vajayjay

I could stare Mike Tyson in the eyes from behind plexi-glass from 75 yards, but I know if I tried something, he'd still eat my children.

Oooh I stared him in the eyes, I am a tough guy too, lol

the picture shows nash making direct eye contact with his mouth open saying "you're irrelevant" to cooke.

why the (frank) would nash do anything to get penalized in the dying moments of the game when we need him out there?

Of course not, we know there are the rules, then there are the Pens rules. Duh, NHL has rigged the league so the Pens get every player and every call.

You can't buyout a player and then resign him.

I wouldn't have minded it either if Nash would have acted like a man afterwards instead of hiding behind 2 other guys
- ryman1566

Nash was on the ice after the nonsense on the bench and skated right up to cooke and nothing happened. Cooke has nothing to say to anyone when they confront him he does all his talking with his elbow and skates when people aren't looking. I am so tired of femguins fans rationalizing this d-bag's antics...no mention on here of him hitting Hank in the head with his stick. I don't care if it wasn't hard or intended to injure, it was a classless move period. He backed down from Clowe and Nash is bigger do you honestly think that little b***h would have done anything to Nash or was he just trying to goad him into a penalty? You one sided a**hats really piss me off. As far as neal is concerned as many times as he has run flyers players with his elbow at full speed it serves him right if he got his bell rung.

The National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players' Association on Tuesday agreed on a change in compliance buyout rules, allowing teams to buy out player contracts prior to Saturday.

In the new Collective Bargaining Agreement agreed to recently by the NHL and the NHLPA, clubs were permitted two "compliance" buyouts to take place during the 2013 and/or 2014 offseasons in order to ease the transition to a lower salary cap.

The new agreement allows teams to use one of those compliance buyouts prior to the start of this season. However, the player's full salary for the 2012-13 season still would count against the team's cap.

Players that are bought out will become unrestricted free agents, eligible to sign with any team.
