Goalie was WAY out of the crease and yeah he got brushed but I'm not convinced it was goalie interference. We've seen much nastier goalie interference slide...
It looked worse cuz Reimer played it up and was slow to get back into position.

He grabbed his stick and pulled him out of position

I've seen far less get the goal called back

No desire to see him play for us?

My point exactly... Hopefully someone else will want him for a pick

I would also like to voice satisfaction with Luke Schenn in this thread.
- BulliesPhan87

Yea he gets a ton of heat sometimes. A buddy of mine jumped all over him last night when Jvr scored his first goal in a month because as he said Luke "doesn't win games for us like jvr does for the leafs." I have not watched much of Jvr in Toronto but I think Luke has had as much impact on winning here as jvr has there simply because he does things needed from your dmen. Without those contributions your chances of winning dwindle.

So have we. Second game vs Buffalo, Fedotenko grazed Miller's blocker with his ass on a potential game tying goal. Waived off, even though Miller was outside the crease. They're so inconsistent on the kind of crap.

I'm guessing the official, if he even saw it to begin with, felt that Reimer was out of the blue paint at the time?

Other food for thought: A guy like Marty Brodeur plays stuff like that up a bit more to sell the call. Maybe Reimer needs to get better at flopping around like a mackerel when someone brushes him.

I've said a billion times. I'd hate to see what this blue line looks like without LSchenn.

Really loving the play of Luke Schenn of late. Blossoming into quite a defenseman with the extra responsibilities he's taken on in the absence of others.

That's what's bad, is the inconsistencies. If all goals were equally easy/hard to get called back, I wouldn't have a problem with the calls.

But one game you see a goalie interference call for a guy standing near the net(we had this happen a couple of seasons ago, no contact at all and it was called back), and another game you see the goalie completely wiped out with no call.

It's infuriating.

Lauridsen and Huskins have been particularly good at chipping the puck out into the neutral zone and relieving pressure. Better than the dmen on IR have been in the recent past. Lava needs to stick to this game plan

Well, that's what I mean, the hockey intelligence is off.

A defensive defenseman is not an "OOOOOHHH SHINY!!" guy. He's not going to score goals like JvR. But if he continues to play 23+ minutes a night when the team wins, it'd be hard to say he's not helping them win.

Didn't like the trade, still not sold.

JVR is better than I expected, but still too inconsistent.

And now we're looking for a good young shut-down d-man to pair with Phaneuf.

Absolutely. The Flyers have played the Devils numerous times in the playoffs. We'd see Brodeur get nudged while behind the net playing the puck and he goes full Shakespearean and draw a penalty and minutes later, the Flyers goalie would get run down in the crease and nothing from the refs.

It's the same thing with calling goals back. I'd be fine with this being reviewable.
