Fucale from Halifax is awesome, I'm guessing he'll force a team to take him closer to the mid 1st round to be the 1st goalie off the board.

I think it would be fantastic for them to take a tender in the 2nd or 3rd round. Wedo have to start to acquire more depth at the position.. Mason was a good start in getting a young guy with skill.. D is the priority though.

It used common sense, I reject it.

I'm surprised you recognized common sense. Good for you!

I disagree. I think he is an average starting goalie (that can get hot and can get lost in the woods) that has a contract that sucks.

I am thinking they take a game on Charlie Graham (Malcolm Subban's back up right now & likely Belleville starter next year)

or

Spencer Martin of Mississauga. Had a rough year but I talked to a few scouts who love him and feel he has really good NHL upside

Are you aspiring to Thomas Paine status?

don't forget stolarz. we took him w/ a 2nd, so that's high in the pecking order and since he went the jr route, he's getting more plying time.

He's been a Vezina finalist. It takes more then just getting hot to play at that level.

His agent said he expected something done in the next week nothing has been done as of yet.

Ah OK
Thanks
Any Kimmo update?
Or when Grossmann gets back?

Grossman didn't even travel with them to play the Jets, Kimmo will be a game time call.

i'm so tired of the "bryz sucks" comments, because it's patently false. he's a very good goalie. his contract is not an albatross. and let's give him a chance to see what he can do with a solid defensive team in front of him without a million injuries and without being run into the ground because there's no backup - you know, like a championship caliber team would play and have.

and btw, i don't see the lord savior lundqvist doing much - and he's never been past the 2nd round, but that guy, man - he's the greatest. and if we had him, we'd have won 17 cups already.

for (frank)ing (frank)'s sake, enough already.

- hammarby31

(frank)ing awesome, sir!

must've been the system. if we played like PHO, he'd be at .920 i guess. either way, i agree w/ junkie's assessment.

That's sweet, I'm sure he's flattered.
In the real world, the new CBA only allows around 900,000 (or whatever the highest ELC is) to be shifted to the Ahl. So no more burying Walker in the backyard. Even if he clears waivers most of the cap hit will remain.
Or so I've heard

- FlyersGrace

Thanks!

But for real, he is the living embodiment of the CBA, instead of reading it I'm gonna figure it out reading the debates on this very board. Yea i know not very wise. Thing is I know which posters are right.

After 1

Kitchener Rangers - 1
London Knights - 2

Stolarz he only faced 3 shots. The goal he gave up was just a really good shot & he had little chance to stop it.

Or maybe it's that he's a good Goalie. He needs to pick up his play as of late. His technique is slipping a little. But for the most part, he's played well.

It's not whatever the highest ELC is. The formula is the NHL minimum salary for that Season, plus $375,000. Anything higher then that has to be carried on the Cap.
