He's got lifts in his skates...that bastard And yea I get what your saying. I just fear that if we end up drafting Drouin (which seems pretty real at this point) most people may harp on his size and think less of him (especially if he doesn't start of well). - Sabresfan-365
Drouin is the same size as Crosby. |

Nice comments by our remaining core. If Pominville, Leopold and Regher were such great leaders and players - why are we at the bottom of this league. I think our whole organization suffered through enough. Maybe show up in your 2 road games in Florida and not let team tie games in the last minute of the 3rd period. These players need to lose the egos and understand they put themselves in this mess - what do you expect.
I do think if we can fire the coach and rip up the core - the GM should not be spared. He is ultimately responsible for this. Maybe a new GM and Coach will do this team good. I know Reiger has lost this team and the trust of his players. He needs to overpay players to sign with us. Maybe you build a team around your goalie and sniper. |

5 playoff series wins in 13 seasons. What other team would the GM still be here? Please name one.
I can't get excited about the Pommer trade or the rebuild with Darcy still in charge. Following this team is the definition of insanity.

I know it's just that 5 in front of his listed height. I get the sense that Gerbe has ruined us for small skilled players |

I bet Foster is his mom's maiden name. It happens pretty frequently. - HonkFortheGoose
Or his parents gave him the middle name Foster in honor of the Canadian hockey broadcasting icon Foster Hewitt |

Perhaps. Personally, I don't think Foster is that bad of a name. |

With a new GM and coach and the core exiting stage left and with a new direction, the re-build might not be as long. They need to hit a home run though with the Miller/Vanek trades. |

I think you guys could have gotten a pretty big return for Ott this year. If Miller and Vanek can play well next year they could bring in quite a haul at TDL next year. Then you guys should be laughing with cap space moving forward and a ton of quality young players. |

How attractive would Ott look like to a team like the Oilers next season? They've been mining the draft since 2006. |

I think Ott opts to resign and stay in Buffalo. I think he's got the personality to want to stay and teach the young guys a thing or two.

If he can maintain his level of play he's a great asset for a playoff team. He'd probably want a crack or two at the cup before he retires. He could get it in Buffalo i guess, but he's getting up there in age. |
