His defensive game is a big work in progress and his skating needs to improve. When he stopped scoring, the bad outweighed the good and Boucher was forced to put him down the lineup. - Michael_Stuart
oh ok.... He was killing in my draft ... Everyone laughed at me when I picked him lol |

I picked him up and got laughed at too. The early returns were good, but then he tailed off. |

I'm a Bolts fan through and through. I wrote Lightning blogs at a few sites last season, including My Hockey Buzz. I've also done some writing about the Kings over at Bleacher Report in the past, but once I got this gig in October I gave that up. My focus is, and has been, on this team. |

Seen the Bills record since 2008? Not sure they do either...
(Sorry Yost)
Great to see Bishop show what he can do so soon after the trade. Best of luck to him in Tampa.
I'll be interested to see what rivalries come out of the new divisional alignment. It seems tough to think of Ottawa and Tampa as rivals (though we don't really have one with Boston either). Who would you consider to be Tampa's biggest rival? I would've assumed the Panthers, but with their relative ineptitude since Murray was coach (not to discredit Dineen last year) they wouldn't be much competition. |

I was really curious how many of the guys who played in the ahl at the start of year would play once the lockout ended ... I think next season you might not see some of the younger players do as well thru a full season when they are starting the same time as everyone |

Happy for Big Ben!
What a way to play a first game for a new team.
Didn't get to see the game but 5-0, 40 saves, and first star.
Can't do much better than that!
Hopefully Conacher can score a couple tomorrow
Best of luck to Bishop, except on next Tuesday |

I'm not saying 45 save shutouts are sustainable night in night out, but if he can continue playing relatively consistently, I think we've got a winner on our hands.
It's exactly what the Carolina commentators said though (watched the game online and couldn't find the sun feed). Bishop plays like he's a small goalie, while being 6'7. That's what's so great about the guy,and quite frankly the difference between him and Lindback. If they could get Lindback to play a much more sound style of butterfly, and play smaller than he actually is, he'd be the same thing, cuz they're both athletic as hell. But until then, run with Big Ben, can't wait to see the guy play at the game on Long Island on Saturday. |

Pouliot and Carle I thought looked fantastic as well as Vinny in his first game back. Tyrell had some real solid looks despite not getting on the score sheet. I think Pyatt might be one of the most underrated players on our team. it'll be interesting to see how it pans out as he and Johnson may be fighting for that 3rd line C job, though Johnson is a similar style with most likely a higher ceiling..
really really really hope Hedman just has a bruise or something.. |

Funny enough I noted that Brewer and Carle had great games in my post-game blog before reading this. Will have it posted shortly.

Our biggest rival is a race between Boston and Washington. The Boston rivalry is going to get nothing but more heated with the realignment, the Craps rivalry will probably lessen now that we aren't in the same division. Last but not least Philly is a close 3rd on the hate meter |
