Does anyone know if there's a rule against renegotiating a contract?

If Lu is so butt-hurt about his contract preventing him from being traded, why can't they renegotiate it? I know Lu would stand to lose millions and milions that are currently promised to him, but if he really wants out why not bite the bullet and re-sign a much shorter contract for the same annual money with the understanding that the intent is that he gets traded?

Khaira was a freshman too. Didn't say he was better, although he might be Janko was a bad pick, I said he had a better season. 25P in 37GP versus Janko's 18P in 34GP.

EDIT: Also Janko was playing in H-East also known as H-Easy

Haha...whatever man. Khaira is the best.

I think the best way is to fake his own death, and come back bald, and very, very pale so no one suspects it is him. Also change his name to something a little less Italian like Jack Stone and it would fool everyone only if he didn't suck.

Not legal under the CBA, I believe that only the NFL allows that of all the major sport leagues in North America.

haha ya I know. Janko was off the board but whatever, latest rankings from that draft have him at #25 now, so he wasn't far off. Plus they traded down and got a punishing d man in Seiloff in return, he is another great prospect as well.

Also don't forget Gaudreau

Rewind 6-8 years and this sounds like the Oil talking about Cogliano and Nilsson. They're gonna be awesome! I swear!

So you're saying unless they are first overall they are crap???

A lot of luck is involved in the draft...except the 85's...no wonder I never got picked

Ha ha whatever dude! They re-ranked last years draft and had Jankowski at 25th. Not to mention they got Seiloff out of it. Not a bad move IMO
- The-O-G

You should post that article again: the one listing Jankowski at 25. It was very refreshing to see all the other players that were available to be drafted by Feaster that are ahead of Janko on that list that he didn't pick.

It's a comment on the state of denial most Flames fans are in, yet all Oilers fans experienced a few years ago.

It's time to give back to the Flames fans that danced on our misfortune during our dark years.

You know what's funny if for poops and giggles the contract is destroyed, Lou would've lose that much.

The reason the NHL doesn't allow it is because as we've seen the Nucks have saved on the cap hit, don't want teams to be able to just get around it by renegotiating.

However I do think the NHL should've allowed each team 1 guy to renegotiate across the league

All the good guys get guaranteed money anyway, so it's not like you can just cut a guys 100mil contract and he is left with nothing. It wouldn't be the end of the world for NHLers if this were to happen.

Haha....I just post it to show he wasn't that far off.

People act like it was WAYYYYY off the board and they could have got him in the 4th round.

They do allow it, it is called a compliance buyout, the casucks can give him his 50mil or whatever the (frank) they would have to pay him and get rid of him, they made their bed by negotiating that ridiculous contract and now have to lie in it. I do not feel sorry for teams one bit who negotiate contracts like those. (frank) them.

Nice to see the Oilers clobber the Flames last night, but if they really want to hurt the Flames they need to take a playoff spot from the Blues and cost the Flames the 1st they got in the JayBo deal. It's conditional on the Blues making it in. Now that would be sweet!

Just click links and poop. Seems like a bush league site, but my Iphone has my back.

Look for NSFW, or self shots. Although watch out the odd cock pic gets in there.

Usually in the NFL it wouldn't be 2/3 though and this is just a two year window. NFL has it every year all year.
