I think Nolan is a very small piece to the puzzle to be honest. LA's whole 4th line for that matter. Even Colin Fraser looks good for them.
- Lahey

I think Nolan can be a steve ott type of player, he has the speed to hit and a nose for the net. Plus he isn't affraid to stand up for him self. But a lot of his fights are caused by his hits. and draws an instigator. Brown needs back up but i love him soo far, you think eager would learn....

Its pretty frustrating to watch everyteam in the league to push the young oil around, and that is how playoff hockey is. If Hall/Yak keep playing the way they have and aggressive, they won't like the end result when no one on the ice will stand up for them. Fistric or even Peckham should have played against the Flames or Nucks. Take the Glencross or Backes as examples...

You hate us because our team is so good.

No one cares about the Flames, Oilers, Sens, Jets, Leafs and Habs because they all suck year in year out.

What a sh11ty game to spend that kind of money on. They didnt even show.

Funny story though... I got loser pissed after the game with jones, potter, fistric, and mostly dubnyk who i argued and drank with all night.

U forget they're just dudes who dont always take criticism so well. They actually do give a fuk what peeps say (the normal, coherent, non douchebags anyway)
He thinks most oiler fans are way too critical, and that hes played brilliant all year. He was even giving me his stat line when i criticized.
he says Theres nothing more he can do with that defence. Good guy, but a little defensive. Bought a sh1tload of drinks tho!!!

Jonesy's exactly the laidback dude ud think. Was kinda tryin to pick up my buddies gf. Funny stuff.
Potter was sloppy wasted and knows hes out the door at the end of the year.
Fistric was tryin to bang some mediocre skank.

Good timez....!

Sounds awesome, except for the game. Dubnyks comments were probably in regards to the lack of team defense, and the amount of shot given up on a regular basis.

It was. And thats exactly what dubs meant. He wasnt throwing any of his boys under the bus.

Jones was pretty self deprecating too. Thinks hes probably gone

Reminds me of a funny story from back in the North Stars days. The last couple years they were here. Well a buddy of mine who was an absolutely huge Modano fan(as were most of us) runs into Modano at a local Mpls club, my buddy and his new GF and a few others. Apparently Modano was known to be pretty aloof and standoffish when out and about but on this night he was apparently very engaging and quite friendly to my buddy and his group, buying drinks and whatever.

My buddy goes to take a leak and on his way back is intercepted by a bouncer of the club and told that he's been tossed. He finds out later that Modano wanted his GF and purposely had him thrown out so he could hit on her for the rest of the night. Apparently it worked too, because I guess she ended up leaving with him. True story.

The problem is what does Fistric or BBC do against Bieksa?

I do agree with Fistric/Peckham to deal with Backes or Jackman for that matter, but we really need someone that plays minutes to do this. Not more 4th liners or bottom pairing d-men, guys that can make a bigger impact.

Apparently we went after a power forward at TDD, but the other team wanted Klefbom and the call was over.
