He isn't with the team yet. You don't know a whole lot about the oilers when you try to bash them, you sound as bad as clout's and the supertrolls. - ruttager17
Ah, rutt. I have forgotten more about the Oilers than you know. Clouts knows a lot too. My critisim of our new pickup is a fair assessment of our new asset. For him to make the team, moves Smyth out of the dot and petrel off the team. I do admit the guy is only -34 but for a guy used mostly on the PK that is huge considering his regular strength ice time (I can explain that to you in detail if you would like, you would have to understand hockey to fully grasp the concept of +/-).
So he either bumps Brown? (who was Steve's last big move), Petrel who is a better player than both but not as physical, Jones who is again better but in many ways one of the few forwards not contributing in the way the others are or Smyth who is the obvious pick but all of these go against Tambellini's whole statement about not changing the dynamic of the team since Petrell, Smyth and Brown are 3 character players that were asked to bring their game up and have. At least that was the suggestion Tambellini gave during his press conference.
But this is all hockey talk. You just go back to picking funny yellow faces on the right and keep talking down to people like Clouts and myself for our inexperienced opinions. Its not like we both blog on websites for money. We get paid for our opinion but you are probably know more. Carry on. |

I guess your saying the wings miss playoffs in this situation? Would be first time in my lifetime.. I think.. - Oilfan19
Hmm, I don't see the Wings missing, but the scenario I posted was just something that would be awesome for Canucks fans. |

Sorry dude but the Hawks will destroy you guys. - FlamesFan12
When healthy? The reason the Canucks have looked mediocre at times this season have been because of zero center depth after Henrik. When healthy this team would give the Hawks a run for their money, obviously the Hwks would still be favourites but I would bet on the Canucks at least winning 2 games with this:
Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Higgins - Kesler - Hansen
Booth - Roy - Raymond
Sestito - Lapierre - Kassian
I'd also take Schneider or Luongo over Crawford anyday, either one of those 2 goalies can steal a game. |

We all know that when the playoffs start , trap , clutch and grab will be back in style ( example Coyotes from last year) and refs will let most of it go so fast skilled teams like the Hawks and Oilers may be at a disadvantage. It would be a fun series though to watch them go at it. - HawkfaninBC
Hate the refs in the playoffs, the NHL is the only league where the rules change in the playoffs. |

Mixed feelings on the goaltending. Right now we are on pace to win the Vezina this season but Crow is still prone to let in the odd soft one like last years series versus Phoenix. I think how good our overall team is kind of masks the questions in regard to our goaltending. If the team plays the way we know they can , they don,t have to necessarily have the so called great goaltending. Remember when we won the Cup in 2010 nobody thought Niemi was a true number one. - HawkfaninBC
This Hawks team is not as good as that one was. I still don't trust Crawford as the guy who can take a team to the finals. Everyone makes the Osgood and Niemi references, both they were playing behind some dominating and absolutely loaded and stacked lineups. |

I believe that they rate the strength of Joey Moss and his people in chimppower, the conversion to hp is 2.796cp=1hp. So Joey is running at about 3.58hp when he's at peak performance. |
