You see the oilers this past 2 weeks though? Sadly we are not even close to the same level as their prospects. It will be interesting to see how majority of the fanbase acts if we really start to bottom out, the sarbres have never really done that in their 40+ years.

In the blog, there's a video of the October, 2011, team meeting when Lindy named Pomminville captain. In the meeting, Ruff says:

"If we don't have leadership everywhere, then we don't have it anywhere, and we're lost."

A year and half later, it sure as hell feels like Lindy knew what he was talking about.

Actually the Knox family had the money and pure love of the game. But I know what you are saying but there is a big difference between the Sabres fan base (a real solid group of die hard fans with casual fans) and the Oiler fans (a pure love of the hockey core)

I actually simmed ahead until the 2014 season in NHL12.. and play with all of my prospects and have literally traded off all of the people on the sabres that you see now...

the only guys on the team that is still there that isn't a prospect now is Kaleta and Myers..
