Yes, but short schedule or not, this is not a playoff caliber team defensively. I don't have much faith that a player like Gervais will continue to play over his head and the forwards' newfound commitment to two-way play will last.
- bmeltzer

Reality check from Bill.

If Grossmann can get back, the D will look better.
OHL needs more seasoning in the AHL.

it's always let's find something negative to talk about versus hey they won...

think of your workplace...it's easier to complain then promote a positive work enviroment.

- phi1671

Wait, wait, wait. How is being on Hockeybuzz all day while at work NOT promoting a positive work place environment!?!

Freaking guy has played what 20 games in a row now due to this organeyezations ineptness to find a decent backup. I will be pissed if bryz gets bought out this summer
- Just5

I doubt it will be this summer, but since they just gave Mason a 1 year deal for next year, it might be next summer depending on how he's playing.

If Briere gets past his concussion problems, I think he's a goner sooner rather than later.

The last three games, the Flyers actually had a big presence in the neutral zone.
It did not resemble the typical 6 lane expressway into the Flyers D zone as it has so much this year.

Also on Gervais, another reason I think he is benefitting also is from playing with Kimmo.

Yep a teanwide commitment to defense. This prov doesn't happen without these injuries. Huskins actually moves around back there nicely. Far from a pylon. Good positioning, very much surprised

Huskins is playing like he wants to be re signed.

Interesting. I missed the Sun game as we were driving back from Easter dinner and barely heard his name at all on the radio. And all I can say is that I didn't notice him particularly last night. Which usually means he did a decent job. I'll have to watch for him tonight.

He's skating around now of course that were past the deadline. I don't want him anywhere near a game situation. I can't see the flyers feeling that way

Hard to say. You want him playing so we can say "see he's fine" and hopefully trade him for something. But at the same time keeping him healthy is also paramount cuz without his #'s off the cap hit Holmgren is tied down, underwater, upside down, unconscious.

I'd imagine it's not a two year old you're dragging around on a leash young lady.
