I basically agree, and that's pretty much my point. If he's hurting, then he may hurt the team by being less than 100%...Q's call at that point.

Is your dad still friends with Jack, who lives and works in the Chicago area I believe?

- ArlingtonRob

They play golf together a couple times a year, not best friends or anything, but I've met him

At the end of last season Q said he needed to do a better job of allocating ice time and reward players who've earned it. Two guys that have been good soldiers and deserve more are Frolik and Kruger. I'd like to see Q give those guys more ice time, it doesn't have to be top 6 minutes but maybe some time on the 3rd line. Maybe try swapping Shaw and Kruger? I think we're pretty lucky to have guys the caliber of Frolik and Kruger on the 4th line.

Ummmm...has no one noticed that Frolik was the one promoted to the top 6 when injuries hit instead of stalberg or bickell? That was his reward. And he hasn't looked out of place most nights either.

Q's feel for the 3rd man in the shootout was TERRIBLE...

What did Shaw do to warrant the chance ?

Vik ties the game, Hoss is coming back and playing strong and Zeus is making his debut...ANY of them would have been a more inspired pick

- philco28

I'm far and away more concerned about 3rd period play. Sure Stalberg tied it up; that's all fine and dandy. They should never have been in that spot.

How did Zues look tonight??
- southernhawk

I thought Zus looked pretty good, and from everyone saying how slow he was I was actually surprised when he skated the puck into the zone which ended up starting the play for Stalberg's goal.

No not at all and have no problem with the promotion; he deserves it. Hopefully come playoff time he can find his finishing touch again like last year. Hopefully a few more players do with him.

+1

Thought he was supposed to be Andrew Brunette 2.0. If he keeps playing like that he'll prove a valuable pick up for the playoffs.

Doesn't matter - no SO in play-offs.

We can complain about this next October.

Does matter...there is a s/o in the regular season and EVERY POINT counts in the battle for home ice throughout.

We haven't lost a game in OT yet, right?

That will be huge come playoff time

- CBHawks88

It's still a different game come playoff time. 1. Teams change sides (long shift). 2. Playoffs are not 4-on-4 like the RS.

In the RS, I'm a bit surprised they haven't won more games in the 4-on-4 OT session. All that speed and firepower with more open ice....

For all their games to go past 60 minutes, only one-quarter (3/12) have been won in the 5-minute OT.

Further, one-quarter of all their games (9/36) have gone to the shootout is a bit disturbing... along the lines of how all this talent can sometimes suck swamp water on the PP.
