We don't need hits. Physical play doesn't always necessarily mean hits. Better puck protection when you have it, more assertive in battles for pucks when you don't. Also, with the speed this lineup has it would be dumb to tell them to play physical instead.

This is in regards to the comment about someone sticking up for Stalberg. I said it once before. The Hawks have a lot of pretty faces, it's time to bring in some ugly guys who can do this as well as record some hits. Make guys think twice about coming over the blue line or going into the corners. But we all know Bowman loves small, speedy guys.

In the off season when they discuss rule changes the Hawk brass should lobby hard for the option to decline PP's.

What I mean is when I watch the bruins I see a bunch of guys running around trying to hit/cheap shot everyone then they cry about other teams diving when the refs actually call penalties on them. Then of course they dive themselves. That's not hockey. If the hawks played like the bruins I'd be embarrassed more than I was in 2003 lol.
