Good post, didnt know much about Latta. What does project to be IYO? 2nd liner?
- Oilfan19

My initial thought is a 3rd line energy guy. However, if he reaches his potential, the player that comes to mind for me is like a Bertuzzi, Hartnell, Ryan Clowe type of player. However, I would put Latta's character way above the 3 combined. A guaranteed Team, Community, and Fan favorite. And his teammates will love him when he watches their backs.

They haven't won nothing yet. Wait til playoffs, that's when we'll see how their smaller guys perform when the checking gets tighter and the physical play picks up.
- newmy

Oh I agree but I feel that speed kills. Oilers 06 run. Oilers speed killed the wings, wings couldnt catch em to check em. Oilers are starting to add size to the bottom 6. I think they need at least 1 big body in the top 6. Paajarvi might become a guy that fits that.

Thanks for that, that kinda looks like a guy WSH could use in the system. I wish Oil knew about him

that had to cost you hundreds of dollars...

Coming from a Wings fan that can boast sellouts that nobody actually shows up for. Nashville had 29 straight sellouts this year and I have been at every one of them. And I can promise you that I spent over $100. PER GAME

If the Oilers had Simmonds & Clarkson or Simmonds & Lucic on the 2nd line wing with Gagner or Nuge in the middle, you would see the Oilers become a damn good team. Those wingers can play 2nd line on any team & have an impact & anyone disagreeing I guess hasn't watched the way these guys play.

Agreed with everything until Mason. . They did go after Bishop tho, price was too high.
- Oilfan19

I traded a 3rd round in 2014 and Arcobello for Steve Mason in NHL 13 GM mode. He's tearing it up. Howson must have still been GM in the game.

OVI will love the guy. A pure prankster in the locker room. And chances are Latta will go after anyone who looks at Ovi the wrong way.

I completely agree. But Yak straight across for anyone of those guys doesnt do it for me or tambi obvs. Its hard to match the values of a 1st overall vs a solid 2nd line banger.

I love simmonds, one of the most complete players in the league. But at the same time Oilers would want more then just simmonds for a guy like yak and philly probably would want more.

Oilers Management needs to change! Tambellini was great in putting together the rebuild, but is not the kind of guy you want after your cupboard is full. Every stupid deal we make is a prospect for a prospect kind of deal, the dumbest kind in the world, honestly he should be packaging the prospects and then going for something we can utilize. 2nd round draft pick + Ryan Whitney + Prospect (Like Reider who we traded last week), packages like that can get something that can be useful, but we instead try to just go for the depth. We have enough DEPTH! so annoying.

Behind the benches? All you can eat buffet? That is funny since we don't sell all you can eat tickets behind the bench. We have an all you can eat zone up on the 2nd level and I promise you those tickets are way more then $45. But keep on making things up

If I had a nickel for every time you say something stupid I'd be a billionaire. This type of blog makes me puke. You think you know what the (frank) youre talking about but you dont have any information on which you form your opinion. No wonder people LOATHE YOU!

Time to move on Clouts. Youre a terrible blogger, a terrible fan and your holier than thou attitude is getting really old.

(frank) me.

He's doing the right thing. No point in selling off organizational depth for a quick fix. Tambi has probably been looking too but prices have been soo high. Gotta wait for the right deal.

Another brutal zinger. Tell me, have you ever talked to a woman without having to give her your credit card number?
