It was getting bad. Hopefully it will all be worth it. Hell, as long as the Oil keep playing like they are right now I am happy and everyone who gave me a hard time for being an Oiler fan will pay dearly. - abware
Oh yes they will. Bein an oiler fan in bc the last few years has been unbearable.

Holy (frank)ing (frank). Has anyone seen this yet? And why am I just seeing this now?

Most shocking part about it is..... that Duke has a white guy on the court when it happens. |

No, 5 wins in a row and outscoring the opposition 25-7 in that span has the supertrolls unable to come up with any sort of coherent thought......so pretty much like always i guess.
After Clout's rant on trades today and his assumptions that if "WSH trades forsberg for erat +++ so why couldn't we have done that"?? I don't wanna know wtf he is gonna say now. They have won 5 in a row, ya don't (frank) with that roster ya fricking idiot. - ruttager17
We beat Calgary twice, with their best forward and dman gone. No players to replace them except AHL players and their starter on the bench. They even kept their backup in for 8 goals tonight. I am not thinking Chicago, Minny and Van are going to make the rest of the month as easy.
Our top line is doing well. A couple of our players are doing good as individuals but they are not playing the calibre of hockey that Chicago, Boston, Pitts... are playing. Not consistently. Not enough to win a best of 7.
Clouts is right, if management wanted to go for a playoff run this year they should have added a couple players. We have assets that aren't being dressed that, after seeing todays trade list, could have got us picks which in turn could have bolstered our bottom 6.
If they didn't want to make a serious run then we should have traded future UFA's in Fistric and Whitney. Leopold was worth 2 second rounds so fistric had value and Whitney probably had a fair amount with the way he has been playing. Filip would have been a great target for us. I liked Ott as a fourth line center from Buffalo. Habby had value.
It makes no sense to have a management team that doesn't seem to want to win. Plus, what message does that show to the young group we have. To our top line who has played injured the last month and got us this close, just to have management add a 34 year old good for a 4th round pick that probably will never get an NHL contract because we have 48 already and 20 of those are given to people that we couldn't trade for some stick tape. Meanwhile actual talented players like Cheechoo and Omark are without contracts so we can play Smyth, Brown and Eager? Then we wonder why our goals for are so low. These guys tear up the minors and an injury happens and we bring up VanVelde?
Everyone has moved on from omark because he had a bad season but when Paajarvi does people brush it off and say he still has potential. Or when Eager never has a good one, no one mentions it. Cody Hodgson played poorly in Van his first year. Many 50-60 point a year players did their first year or two. Especially when their teams finished dead last in the standings. Omark will be someone elses win when we finally let him go. But we will probably keep Plante and Eager forever as we go another decade of rebuilding under Lowe's guidance. |

Also it is far easier to see the bone sticking out of a persons skin in a compound fracture when they are black, than if they are a pasty white soulless ginger like me. - ruttager17

Soooo bring back Omark and get Eager back in the lineup and we will not only make the playoffs but win a best of 7? The Oil are 13th in the league in goals for and have been winning more than losing since bringing brown in.

yeah but that is cause they are basketball players, and are inherently pussies so of course they puked, you can't base it on that. |
