Know whats the most depressing thing? They're actually still a pretty good team. At the cap max. But that cap max is with 14 mill in wasted money that never plays. Booth, Ballard and Luongo all don't play regularly so the standard team is basically a top10 NHL club at 56 mil.

That 14 mil buys you a steady RH D-man (need), top6 right winger (need), and a legit checking center/FO spec (HOLY (frank)ING DESPERATE NEED).

So so so (frank)ing good. The starting 5 back then were great. Nazzy-Mo-Bert, Ohlund-Jovo.

That starting five was able to go toe-to-toe with any team in the league back then and (frank)ing won more often then not.

Then Bertuzzi (frank)ed up and Cooke ruined that Calgary series. The Canucks were controlling the tits off it until Cooke leveled Iggy in like game 3 and he went superhuman. Poked the sleeping bear like a dumb(frank).

Ugh I am still pissed about it. That team was (frank)ing great even with Alex Auld in net. The Flames were snoozing their way through the first 3 or 4 games and then when up like 2-0 in the second Cooke flattened Iggy, with what was at the time a totally legal blindside interfence check.

Snapped the (frank)ing nutface up and Crawford said he'd never seen a player dominate a playoff series like that and he used to coach Forsberg and Sakic etc.
