Exactly. I just really, really need him to get his hip surgically repaired this offseason. - HonkFortheGoose
Yea...i have a suspicion that it is his hip again. When he got hurt banging into that defenseman and winced it appeared pretty harmless. One has to wonder as it looked like it could've been just his wonky hip. |

I have an idea about what happened in Washington. No sources pure speculation
Miller and Stafford for Backstrom
Washington wanted Ennis or Hodgson instead of stafford
I could see Ennis and Miller getting Backstrom in the offseason - Stripes77

I'm starting to wonder if we have enough bodies right now.
It's not like Rochester is overflowing with guys that can play. They're pretty decimated with injuries. - HonkFortheGoose
I honestly feel like this is why Stafford wasnt moved, they needed him this year. And he'll be gone when we are golfing. |

so does heater get bought out now? Minny was already flirting with the cap, and they just committed another 5+ to it next year. |

Always a great injury to have...if you're 60 or 70 or 80. |

I think we will be seeing Cody McCormick and Matt "freakin" Ellis back up with the Sabres before long. |

Sippy said the other day it's not his hip, but I haven't heard anything anywhere that says it's something else. I wouldn't be surprised if it is his hip though. |

I don't know what your deal is but a 25 year old true number one center it a good piece to rebuild around
A rebuild doesn't mean just getting prospects |

I don't know that giving up Forsberg was a good idea though either. - HonkFortheGoose
When that rumor was going around about WASH making a major deal, my 1st thought was Forsberg coming back this way
I'd have loved to add him to our "young core" |

Dont remember where, but I heard abdominal strain
Who knows though?
The NHL is as vague w injuries as the patriots |

I wouldn't have had a problem with him. He was taken right before Grigorenko so that would have given us 3 picks from the 1st round last year. |

i cant imagine theres many people who dont hate just to hate who are unsatisfied with darcy's deadline.
B+
A if they found a way to get rid of stafford but i cant imagine anyone wanted him for more than like a 3rd rounder so might as well keep him for the rest of the season since you need players to put on the ice |

Does anyone else think Pittsburgh made too many moves? I know on paper each one looks pretty good, but at the same time, you're adding a lot of new personalities into the locker room. That doesn't always work out so well. |

Hecht for a rack of sticks would've upped the grade as well |

U think he'd rather re-sign here, then go play for say Pitt?
I think that's naive
And I wouldn't call him a "quitter" for doing so
He might like the Buffalo area a lot...
He prob like the idea of being on a team that has a LEGIT shot to win the cup a lot more though...
Doesn't he strike u as a guy that REALLY wants to win a cup?
After being stuck on crappy Dallas teams and now the Sabres, I think a team like Vancouver, LA, Chicago, Boston, etc will look really appealing to him...
And I'm sure all those teams would welcome a player like him
He's the perfect 3rd liner for a "contender" |

I don't think they could do that because we just don't have enough bodies. Our lineup right now without Vanek and Leino in due to injury is pretty terrible looking. |

It's always tough when you add new pieces to a well oiled machine. I do think they will be fine though with or without Crosby |

You can't just build a team around prospects. You need real NHL ready talent. Adding a 25 year old all star center is a hell of a piece to build around especially if you are moving your franchise goalie |
