Your want your Captain to represent the team. Pomvinville might have been soft, maybe he wasn't a great leader, but he had class on and off the ice, Ott has class off the ice, but on it he is a dirt ball. Love the game Ott plays, but you don't want that representing your entire team

Resigned it During the 92/93 season and was traded in that season. He started the season as the captain.

I see a lot of points regarding us having cap room to go after free agents this summer.....problem is there are like zero stud free agents out there


Only name I would consider totally worth going after would be Clarkson from New Jersey but we'd have to severely overpay for a guy having a career year.


We picked a bad year to totally scrap everything and rebuild. If there were a lot of free agents available this could have been an extremely quick re tool process...but its going to take longer now.
