I wonder if he (Barkov) knows any Russian from his father... I know he's Finnish bit that'd be awesome. I wouldn't pick Nichuskin in the 1st round however unless it was a really late pick. He's a big time KHL risk to begin with, and signed a 2 year deal there recently. That'd be a VERY nice line though... great size.

I don't have a problem with the guys that are on the bigger size, but we need guys that aren't slow too. That's been part of the problem with this team. The transition game sucks because they're all slower than molasses these days.

he said himself he doesnt want to be here for a long rebuild, and he would test the FA market.

last 2 TDL deals by regier have been stellar. just a matter of time before they pay dividends in the standings. reason for optimism in BUF for sure

Otherwise we traded our captain for a 3rd line center, backup goalie, and two picks that may or may not amount to anything

I think we can easily get a top 10 pick, and an above average prospect for him. Or a top 5 pick and a mediocre prospect. The only problem is that teams won't be desperate for guys like they are at the deadline...
