Pens were def off their game. I think losing the streak, they took their foot off the pedal a bit. Will be interesting to see what they bring on Friday

Tonight was great but let's stay grounded boys. That was perhaps the best performance of the year. A full sixty minutes of pressure and a lot of puck possession. Still, they need to keep up that level of play. This was the extreme high of what we can expect to receive from the newcomers. Don't get all down the minute these guys start to struggle. These guys can clearly play this game at a high level as we saw tonight. They just won't do it every night.

Relax guys, none of the new guys has practiced yet. Tortorella will show them how to play defense tomorrow, and thus lose their offense and creativity.

Adrenaline, they play for a franchise with an actual fan base. Think playing for a team like this, as opposed to a dormant Columbus team, think again.

I am aware it is only one game but we were starving for this team to look like this all season.

They pounded the Pens, no matter who was in their lineup, they absolutely crushed them tonight. Let us have this night to gloat, haha

I just thought Gaborik would have got a 1st rounder at least in the deal and I wasn't sold on who they got. Ill take the abuse for talking bad about the trade. Happily though! Glad it all clicked so well tonight. Probably the best game I've been to besides the Avery playoff game where he danced in front of Brodeur

Naturally we can't expect this every night but the energy was there. The defensive attention, the forecheck, those things you can bring every night and most nights you won't get 6 but b/c of the sandpaper on the team now they can win those games they need to grind out. Now, lets keep this in perspective, we wanted 2 pts in this home and home, if they get a pt on Friday I will be more than happy. The schedule after that is extremely navigable.

Derek Stepan with a helper tonight and is now 11-12-23 over his last 25. Really playing well. Very happy to see that from this kid.
