just to recap, Derrick Brassard was referred to as a "bust" earlier today on this blog right? - jimbro83
Where is Ranger Saver? This was a Tortorella trade wasn't it

I thought the same thing but didn't want to jinx him. Now you have. Guess Clowe is going scoreless the rest of the way unless we play an outdoor game. - gkmkiller

Moore could, and I emphasize the word could, make MDZ expendable this summer. A similar player but with one year left on his ELC at $965K is a lot cheaper than MDZ. If the Rangers need to trim money to re-sign McD, Step, Hags and Clowe they could look to trade MDZ this summer. Just a thought. Not advocating it. But Moore looks like he could give us that flexibility. |

That is correct.
But I also said the clowe trade sucked, so ill give everyone a pass - TrueBlue9182
we gave up one more year of Gaborik for potentially long Ranger careers for Brassard and Moore. And we haven't even seen Dorsett yet.

after watching Hamrlik skating like he was in quicksand for 10 games or so, John Moore's fluid skating is such a breath of fresh air - jimbro83
Ryan Mac 2.0
Brassard looks like Michael Nylander
Clowe looks like John LeClaire

Me too but if cap space becomes an issue, there might exist that option.

I know it's only 1 game, but reading how many people gave Sather shyt for these trades (I don't just mean in this thread) Feels so refreshing and good for once to be able to sit back and smile |

Can't remember what game this was but earlier this year with Pittsburgh up big late and with Kunitz looking for a hat trick, Pittsburgh puts their top guys, including Kunitz out on the ice. In the same spot with Clowe looking for a hat trick (I don't know if he has ever had one and Kunitz was going for his first) Torts ices Asham, Powe and Eminger among others on the PP. That says something to me. |
