- JVince11

If Larsson is being moved to wing, he's going in there over Gerbe.

Darcy said "We're Done."
All trades had to be in by 3...
Maybe Darcy is being clever... The question directly was about Miller, not Staff...

think it was more in reference to your mediocre statement. but /shrug dont wanna put words in anyones mouth.
- Putzfrau

Mediocre may have been the wrong word. Average. Decent. Ok. 2 mid level prospects and those picks is a seriously nice return.

Uh huh. You need To read up on your history. Buffalo had the same shot at Crosby. Fleury was a #1 the pens traded for and malkin was the consolation prize after Washington won the lottery and got to take ovechkin #1. But hey wouldn't want to let facts get in the way of childish jealousy.
- schiefer466

Wait buffalo had three top 3 draft picks in a row???? Weird

both of those prospects are not mid level in any definition of that word.

they might not be nhl powerhouses, but nothing is for sure with a prospect.

they are two very above average prospects.

Very disappointed Stafford and Hecht are still here.
Addition by subtraction would have even been attractive.

Reading comprehension. I said they had the same shot at Crosby. They had the option of trading with Florida for fleury. Sabres run of playoff absences was pretty much in line with the penguins early in the 2000s, hence buffalo having the same shot at Crosby. Both went through bankruptcy in the same period and both had pretty awful attendance for a few years. But that's not what I'm here for. If your like to use some facts and not ridiculous conspiracy theories I'd be happy to discuss.

If the situation was about the deadline/timing, I'll be pissed. We probably missed out on Ovechkin by 30 seconds because of the deadline.

Does the NHL not have a secure network for this kind of thing? You can trade any commodity in the world electronically but apparently not NHL players.

@TSNBobMcKenzie: Regarding the many rumors out of BUF, all I can tell you is Sabres indicated no player beyond Pominville has been moved.

Also entirely possible that this conversation is picked up immediately after the season.

If Washington was looking for Miller, no reason to think they will not this summer.
