If this matters to anybody.. I have a friend who was an Athletic Trainer for the Wild during camps this year.. He just texted me and said "Johan Larrson will be awesome for you guys.. Gritty no holds barred skilled Center. The sky's the limit with his skill. Great leader as well"

imo, the fact the details of the pominville trade haven't been leaked mean that the sabres are busy working on a ton of stuff.

I read a little bit about Larsson over at the Wild's website and the fans say he's a good two-way prospect. They say he's gritty and has a mean streak.

Isn't that exactly what this team wants? A forward that is good on defense and is aggressive?

i'm just saying what people on hfboards were saying. i hope they're true!

To Buffalo: Johan Larsson, Matt Hackett.
THN's Take: Buffalo was a clear seller this year and in dealing its captain, the Sabres made a big statement as to where they are right now. Having said that, GM Darcy Regier got an excellent return for Pominville. Matt Hackett is a talented goaltender who could give the Sabres starts right away, though he will probably head to AHL Rochester for now. Johan Larsson was one of Minnesota's most intriguing prospects, a two-way forward in the Sammy Pahlsson mold who was also a great leader for Sweden's international teams, particularly at the world juniors a few years ago. He too can help right away if need be. For the Wild, Pominville brings a great all-round game and obviously another character guy for a team gelling at the right time. Minnesota is duelling Vancouver for a Northwest Division title and Pominville is a big gun to add to an attack already looking nice with players such as Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and backender Ryan Suter. This is a team looking for playoff success and Pominville helps that cause. -RK
