You guys should like Bishop. He's a big guy(obv) could be a win-win for both teams.
I don't know too much about this Conacher kid, all I know is he is now the leading scorer on the Sens.
I think Bishop will do good in Tampa. I wish him the best. - xfm_1011
As I do for Conacher. He's a little guy with ALOT of heart. |

If everyone looked at this from a rational point of view instead of the emotional this is not a bad move. Young goaltenders are EXPENSIVE (Varlamov for a 1st +, Lindback for 2 2nds, Bobrovski for 2 2nds). Conacher is a little guy with a big heart but has shown himself to be a defensive liability. The Bolts have too many smurfs already and moving forward I would rather have Tyler Johnson and his speed and faceoff prowess than Conacher. This is not a lopsided deal if you take out the fact that we all wanted to root for Conacher as the underdog little guy. |

Honestly I just wish the lightning would stop picking up these goalies that aren't truly proven. Look where it has gotten us. The only time we have had goalies who were proven we won the stanley cup, and with roloson we nearly made it to the cup. That being said, I have my fingers crossed for bishop. |

Of course but the D corps are more the question than a couple of good young goalies. if they play tighter in front of both Bishop and Lindback they'll do well. This is a good trade both ways. Bishop played well in Ottawa but then again they are more a defensive minded team to begin with, his worst game was against the Bolts. they can push each other for the #1 job. |

was Mike Smith bad and suddenly got real good in Phoenix- hell no they play a game that gives the goalies a chance. |

The Bulin Wall played okay in 04 until the playoffs and his drinking buddy Graham was hardly noticeable here or when he went to Carolina. We had a good team around them or doesn't anyone get it that its a team game. |

The system under Boucher required perfection out of the defense to be effective. Lets give Lindback and Bishop a chance under Cooper before we relegate them to past failures.
Either way at least this guarantees that Garon will not be back |

i hate this trade i love conacher ...ben bishop better prove himself from the very first game, although a good goalie...i still hate this trade -_- especially with lindback only injured not out for good...jesus christ yzerman ..i can totally see the situation ...arty mentioned all the right reasons on the previous page..but i really dislike this..
stop talking about our D they have been really solid lately i feel..with lindback in net finally getting the D he deserves under coopers system he would be great....f*ck yzerman has zero patience, but i do understand..it just sucks |

Sens fan here. I think you guys are being too tough on Stevie Y. Bishop is an awesome goalie and will no doubt be a starter in this league. He is only 27 and that's young for a goalie. He has kept Ottawa in so many games, and a .922 sp is nothing to shake a stick at, specially with Ottawas defense haha!
IMO you guys win this today. But I have yet to see Conacher play, so I'm basing it all off stats. |

this may be true. i am quite extremely biased to conacher. martin st louis has been my favorite player since i can remember, and he is a minature identical to st louis... makes me upset to see him go
i also am thinking of conachers feelings...his idol is st louis and now he can't play with him anymore..so much passion .. i dont think conacher finds hapiness in this trade , then again he finally made the nhl maybe he doesnt care where he goes |

We have more than enough scoring punch, stopping the puck is where we have problems; if bishop can stop a half of a beach ball, im happy.
Time will tell but willing to be patient, who knows maybe bishop becomes the next tuuka rask, will ing to give him a try. |

I think its a win-win for both teams. Tyler Johnson and Brett Connolly should fill the void left by CC. |

I love Conacher and will miss him, but Garon just ain't cutting it. A Lindback/Bishop duo has me hopeful.
Edit: thank you for not trolling like a certain other Leafs fan. He's getting annoying. |
