I can't believe this trade. Especially after Lindback failed to pan out. How does he not go for a proven goaltender? Marty and Vinnie aren't getting any younger. - kill.monsters
Horrible deal. Stevie Y wasn't happy with Feaster earning the title of "worst GM". |

Nailed it. Hey, he was in the Wings front office for a few years. He must be good! - Deadstar
Even if the trade works out for TB it still doesnt change the fact that Yzerman was forced into giving up an asset like Conacher to cover up his whiff on Lindback. Asset management fail. |

I blame that on attrition. It was also a rather unmitigated disaster.
And because apparently Vitale insulted Bylsma's wife or something to get himself in that much of a doghouse to not even get a jersey when another guy gets stuck entirely out of position to fill the hole that he could have. |

You have to think that if Ryan Malone were healthy that Luongo going to TB wouldn't be a great trade matchup. |

He might have just won! People were already calling for his head... I can't imagine fans will be happy with this. |

He could have picked Kiprusoff instead. Probably the price wouldn't be any higher than what he gave up. |

He gave up two 2nds and a 3rd for Lindback, and now gave up Conacher and a 4th for Bishop. This better work out for him, |

Dustin Jeffrey's name has been floating around for a few days. #Penguins have been getting calls on him. Teams still like potential upside
I'd say yes to the next GM who calls with anything higher than a 6th rd pick. - rival22
I feel Jeffery an be a good player in this league he shows his flashes at times and its clear he is a center and not a winger and he would have a better opportunity somewhere else |

Right! He paid as if he were getting Lou/Kip but instead got someone who might not even be an upgrade over Lindback in the long run. Trades like that make me love Shero even more. Haha |

The Bishop to Tampa deal screams Ray Shero being bored, doing his best Daffy Duck impersonation, and calling up Yzerman. |

The only reason I can see adding Jokinen is to show someone the press box in the case of efforts like last night. Shero must have been pissed.
I've always liked Jussi on the Canes (too bad the canes didn't). Not sure where he fits? Can he play center? The absence of Sid has really exposed our lack of organizational depth at C.
Morrow proving to be slower than expected?
Trader Ray, again fairly low risk trade for a former 30 goal scorer on 09/10.
Just want to drop the puck and make last nights game a distant memory. - Sell My Monkey
Jokinen is defensively responsible and good on faceoffs but does not score much as a center. Most of his scoring comes when he is playing on the wing. He can fill in at center but he is better slotted on a wing. He is also very good on shootouts. |

It's funny because the only reason mason was available is because they flyers have them bob who has been playing out of his mind |

Kennedy > Glass - Killian
Yeah..how did that work out? Can't wait to see TK centering that line again tonight.
Needs will dictate the lineup. Last night that need was TK in the middle.
TK may have more offensive upside that Glass but that won't matter if/when this team is healthy and the post season rolls around. Glass kills penalties. TK does not. Jokinen is a left handed center who wins 60% of his draws, has similar--if not better--offensive upside than TK, who, in case you forgot, doesn't kill penalties and couldn't win a majority of his draws if he was the only one in the circle.
Jokinen was not brought in to replace Glass. |
