Value versus effectiveness.... he is a good pickup if he is making 1.5 million a year however at 3 million he is not worth the waiver pickup last week.

It may be tough to get even that for him since he's RFA at the end of the year and given what it would cost to qualify him when the cap is going down. Either way, he's probably not going to be back in a Pens uni next year.

More importantly, does a guy like Dupuis look at Jokinen's salary and say show me the money given his place on the team and his production?
