My brother is a flyers fan, and he is a douche (please don't ban me for this canadian). I'm his brother and I'm the ONLY person that's allowed to make fun of him and his garbage hockey team.

Add to that, who will be willing to put together a package for a guy who will most likely be bought out before camps open in the Fall? Why give up assets to get a guy who will be UFA, especially when you can sign him to a more favorable deal at a lower hit? Vancouver is going to eat that contract...for years.

I don't think he'll be bought out. If you were going to buy him out anyway, why wouldn't you make whatever decent deal that you could now and get something for him (and get the contract off your books)?
