I was in Columbus 2 weekends ago and was in a bar called Barley's downtown. It was a Friday around 5 and they were playing Calgary that day at home. The bar was packed with Columbus fans. Seems like if they win they will build a descent fan base there.

Has to make you wonder why instead of just buyouts the league and NHLPA didnt agree to allow either a buyout or 1 time renegotiation of up to 2 contracts. A lot of teams probably would like to keep players they are going to end up buying out.

Jones and MacKinnon are going to be studs, depth of the draft maybe the only thing to really question. Cant be as poor as 2012.

Who? Name one player that you've heard of that is just expected to make such a HUGE impact coming out of the draft this year...because I'm really struggling. I can name about 10 players off the top of my head that came from the past several draft classes that destroy anyone coming out this season...

Nugent-Hopkins, Larsson, Couturier, Hamilton, Hall, Seguin, Skinner, Tavares, Hedman, Duchene, Kane, Kadri, Ekman-Larsson, Stamkos, Doughty, Schenn, Myers, Karlson...I mean the list just goes on.

NO WAY that NHL 2013 draft class compares to the last several draft classes we've had.
