Nothing wrong with enjoying hockey, you should try it sometime and not concern yourself with others.

According to Barry Melrose Isles are best of the NY teams (including Devils).

They might be but they should have made a trade at the deadline...

He also has a ridiculous mullet. While he may be right, take his opinion for what its worth.

I'm looking more forward to this Isles game than I have in a long time. It feels (frank)ing awesome.

Almost every team in the league has similar complaints.. Fans on the Pit blog, and the Hawks blog are not happy either. Fans never seem to be happy with thier team, no matter how well they are playing, one loss and they suck again...

Fans and sport.

The reason he did not get moved is because he has turned down 3/15milly..

Teans now realize he is crazy.

It's my birthday! The only thing I want for my birthday is a win tonight! I just want to see Islanders sneak into the playoffs and beat Penguins like it is 1993

Don't get all bent out of shape b/c it's true. Everyone know rangers fans are the least knowledgable fans in NHL. Of all the ranger fans I know I can say only one knows what he is talking about.
- Spartiarti

I think its a little silly to clump all Ranger fans into this category, no? I know a lot of very knowledgeable Ranger fans and enjoy having good hockey convo with them. Chill man, you an Isles fan. be excited for what you are seeing them do right now instead of worrying about their trades and team. Most of the guys on the Ranger boards here are knowledgeable and good guys. Nothing wrong with that. I would probably say I know more dipsh!t Isles fans than Ranger fans. Hate to admit it but its true.

I was nodding in agreement until the bolded part. I think a larger percentage of Ranger fans would be definied as casual fans (more because of the huge number of Ranger fans). That said, I don't think fanbases of any team are that different. Sure the Boston fanbase is far more rabid than say Tampa Bay, but I'd save the generalizations to hockey fans as a whole rather than team specific.

What are we talking about here today? How 'bout the Caps tonight? It'll be a tough one with them surging. Any updates on who's in and who's out? I wish they'd put Marty in for AMac...at this point I think both Marty and Carkner bring more to the table.

I agree a huge game tonight and we're talking about what fan base knows more? Tonight is going to be real tough. Gotta keep an eye on the Devs/Bruins game as well

Listening to the MSG crowd last night, it was a bit subdued at end of the game. They realize the trade gave the team a bounce but making the playoffs is not the issue, they expect the team to win some rounds and they realize the team has to work in the new players. PITT wasn't totally prepared and when teams start to scout them the games will be closer. Credit them they have a solid goalie but the d isn't quite as great and deep as they like to believe.

Isles can be tough if they get all of their lines going and the d hangs in. Positive note is Poulin played good Tuesday so we may have some goal depth.

Agreed. Having two playoff spots in play rather than one is crucial with the amount of teams still in the hunt. Heck, there are three spots in play for the SE teams still in it...Winnipeg, Carolina and Washington...since they're all fighting for 3rd as well.

But the Isles have to just keep rattling off wins and the rest will take care of itself. Ovechkin better not get any room out there tonight.

We've done a great job limiting Ovechkin this year which is why I'm concerned the dike is about to burst...
