Yes but you're in a catch 22 UG. You're stating that the value of them to other teams was greater than to our own given their UFA status. I am clearly stating that instead of giving them to another team as a rental we kept them as our own because we can utilize them for the playoffs. (no matter how far we go)

Filip Forsberg is going to be one of those players that people say how in the hell A..did he slip that far in the draft and B...why they did he ever get traded. I like him a lot, great player in mine and I'm sure many other's eyes.

Stajan wasn't on the ice more than anyone else and when he was they weren't on the verge of playoffs.

Pretty sure you cannot do it, other than common sense, there is not factual proof that i have that a team cannot do it, just seems silly that a CBA would leave that kind of loop hole open...
