Pominville only has a year left.

Both prospects are good prospects, and better than anything Columbus gave up. I'm pretty sure they would have been more than fair value for pominville alone. If that was the deal, buffalo does great. Then you throw in a first and 2nd round draft picks, and it becomes hilarious.
