Well I'm sure he didn't complain when they backed the money truck up.

This is 100% on gillis. He's handled this way worse than howson handled Nash.. And that says alot.

They should have kept him if their opinion is that high, and shipped the younger, unproven more tradeable goaltender out.

If his contract wasn't bad enough.. What did they think would happen when they started touting Schneider as the starter, and trying to involve the media in it?

from what i read, those aren't top prospects, and the Wild are absolutely loaded.
the first and second at this point will be in the 20-25 range of their rounds. it's a decent price, no doubt, but a smart trade for the Wild (given that JP isn't a UFA) and fair value for Buffalo.
