hes a BIG tough stay at home D man who has played with liles.

all were doing here is replacing kostka with him and adding some depth in case of injury for playoffs.

this guy isnt going to put up a lot of points, but hes a good penalty killer, blocks shots, and is by no means a wussy.

oh and he shoots right - which was also key.

I think Minni gave up more for pominville than Columbus did for gaborik, without even throwing in high end draft picks.

4 pts, -8 playing 18-20min a night on worst team in the west. Can't be playing that terribly or that minus would be a LOT bigger. Didn't look too bad against Detroit the other night.

gives them defensive depth on right side for a very minimal cost. I'm fine with it.

I think it's a good idea to reserve judgement until we see how he fits in here. We've already seen that big defensively minded guys can succeed in Carlyle's system. He might be a solid addition.
